While it's obvious by now that this is a recurrent issue of Suárez that needs to be dealt with, it's also obviously involuntary to me. Any player that truly has the intention of harming another one in the field would do so by the least visible means, and biting is the exact opposite of that. It's a purely irrational response to anger, and leaves you completely exposed, both visually and physically. I would just like to make this distinction between intentions and actions clear because I honestly believe he's a good person. I've been watching him since the beginning of his career here in Nacional, and he has yet to give me a reason to doubt this.

It would be completely fair of course if he get another suspension, and I'm just hoping it's not long enough to become an obstacle for his career long term. That would not be deserved. His merits are still his, just as much as his flaws. One thing does not erase the other.

As for us (Uruguay), we'll manage. He's currently our best player, but we are more than him. Godín already evidenced that today, for one.
