Ever since I've been following the sport La Liga has been the Messi-Ronaldo show. I'm actually getting tired of it (but when it's over I might be nostalgic for it).

Well Atletico Madrid have upset the Messi-Ronaldo show before with their league win a few years back. And on an individual level I think there have been a few players to get a fair amount of spotlight as well. Suarez, Griezmann, Neymar & Bale to name just a few.

It was awesome when Atletico won the league in Camp Nou.

Andres Iniesta and Xavi. These two are amongst the best football players ever and make everyone else shine. Except their opponents when they dictate the tempo of the game.

League cup match for the Manchester clubs. Interesting to see City breakdown West Brom. United have an easier game of the two tonight in Burton Albion.

To me every trophy is worth fighting for so if United get eliminated tonight I'll be gutted.

Vitesse, who won the KNVB Cup last season, have just been kicked out of this season's KNVB Cup by amateurs AVV Swift, who are from the 5th tier of Dutch football.

Give me a Doncaster goal for ultimate hilarity.

That meaningless last minute Burton goal has made me way more angry than it should've.

Messi has scored the same amount of goals in La Liga as Real Madrid

If Catalonia gained independence, would Barcelona still be allowed in La Liga?

La Liga president threatening to kick them out if it happens. No way would that happen.

They would be butchering their league if they did that.

Considering there are plenty of teams from one country playing in the league in another country across Europe, UEFA at least should have no issue with it. La Liga themselves would be kind of stupid to not want them to stay. But you also got to wonder would Barcelona themselves want to remain in the Spanish league? Not all that independent of them if they do...

In a way it would be like "We're independent from you guys now... PLUS we are better at football too and proove it each week. :P"

Although the rules/laws on players would completely change because they won't be an EU member anymore.

Hmm, pie.
