No it's Iceland v England, Portugal finished 3rd

that's what I get from listening to the commentator though to be fair, there have been lots of changes between 2nd and 3rd place during the games.

Agreed. Austria was just unlucky in the most competitive group of the tournament.

I'm talking about the whole tournament. 1 point, 1:4 goals. That IS pathetic, no doubt about that. But hey Russia got 1 point as well and Sweden might end up with 1 point too. Shows how much the 1st place in their qualification group for this tournament really meant.

Also 1:1 against Iceland wouldn't have been much better.

Well, that was something ! Finally a good show.

Portugal vs Hungary best game so far ! Croatia vs Portugal will be good also, and I hope to see Portugal vs Poland in the next game ( wishful thinking i know )
Austria ? Not that bad, not bad at all. It was close game imho, but somebody has to lose.

Can someone explain to me why it's GER vs. SVK and not GER vs. POR in the next round?
(Not that I want to complain but I don't understand the methodology).

I already voiced the same thing about the qualifying group.

And yes, I just said that 1:1 or 1:2 didn't matter.

It's as if you are trying to beat down enthusiastic fans of Austria in this thread, but there never were any.

Iceland winning against Austria is considered a surprise, so obviously I'm mentioning that with half a sentence. You were disputing my comment so I had to elaborate what I meant with a bit more content.
