But yeah, that's the spirit. We still make jokes about that 7x1 to this day (and will probably forever). Anyway, I don't think México deserved that... the team is pretty good, that more of Osório's fault.

No. The team wasn't playing at home (although the stadium was filled with Mexicans) and, honestly, not many people expected Mexico to win the tournament, so it didn't feel that bad. It wasn't a World Cup match either. 

Brazil's experience was way worse and ridiculous. 



My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

It kinda was yeah. It's even better if you watch it with the mexican commentators.

 

Tbh I think Chile dominated Mexico way more than Germany did Brazil. And that's from a peruvian who wanted Chile to lose because reasons.

I don't think so. For me it was (I'm from Chile) but I felt the match wasn't so one sided as the one from the world cup. Brazil died very quickly and it started like a disaster, Mexico put up a fight up until 3-0, and that was in the 2nd half. 

Also, like someone said earlier, Brazil was playing in their home and were expected to win the tournament. Mexico was playing kinda in their home (I think more than 90% of the stadium was Mexican) and I don't think many people expected them to be champions. 

 

Anyway, the earlytalk from some newspapers (Like the one from the picture) or famous people on twitter made it good
