Rogue Galaxy is a better Star Ocean than any Star Ocean is a Star Ocean. Yeah.
This comes from a huge fan of both, though, I loved the Star Ocean remakes on PSP and TTEOT was fun too, but Rogue Galaxy is pretty much what every Star Ocean game wants to be. A great action-RPG game set in a sci-fi setting. Rogue Galaxy is, imo, the greatest sci-fi RPG of all time, even better than the Mass Effect trilogy.

I played through it again on my tablet just like half a year ago. Still love it every time. If they announced a sequel or remake for PS4 at E3, I'd order the console before the conference was even over
It's pretty obvious there would be some demand worldwide for a legend of dragoon sequel. Not sure why sony hasnt done anything about that the last couple gens...
Im kind of surprised at the love for wild arms in this thread. To me, the series peaked with the first game and steadily decreased in quality after that. Wild Arms 3 was ok, but everything after that was not good, in my opinion anyway...
Rogue Legacy with Dark Cloud as a close 2nd.

No one know why they didn't make a sequel to the LoD, it was very profitable to Sony, it is the favourite game of some of the Sony's hardcore gamers, and when they put it into usa psn in 2012 it sold very well, leading some months over FF, RE and other gems that we had at the PS1. |
I read that LoD cost 16 million to make, which at the time was huge. Shu said it didn't make any profit until they released it in the US where it was most popular and ended up bring in some decent money. I get the feeling Sony wanted LoD to do far better than it did, even though it did great they wanted FF level of success.
