Well that was cool and all, but rather underwhelming. Release date please, that's all I want. More gameplay starts to become spoilery so it was nice to see an extended play sequence in action to showcase the look and feel, but that's enough.

wow it looks good! I'm gonna have a lot of fun with this one. I want to play this game so bad.

CPU: Ryzen 9950X3D
GPU: MSI 4090 SUPRIM X 24G
Motherboard: MSI MEG X670E GODLIKE
RAM: CORSAIR DOMINATOR PLATINUM 32GB DDR5
SSD: Kingston FURY Renegade 4TB
Gaming Console: PLAYSTATION 5 PRO

I have to see more. I'm not really interested in the game, but that might be because I don't know enough about it.

Is this what they showed? Looks pretty damn good to me. Personally, I strongly disagree that they have to show something revolutionary or unique to build hype - Uncharted or The Last of Us didn't look exactly unique, for example.

Honestly, the game looks what I expect from a tps + that awesome setting/ambientation. So I'm perfectly fine with that.

I don't really get why people are disappointed with this. The gameplay looks fine to me, then again, I don't need any revolutionary gameplay for me to enjoy a game.

Personally I think the gameplay looked awful.

Generic grab guy pull him to cover scene - Check

Enemy AI walks out on the ledge waiting to be shot - Check

Main character litteraly stands in the same place shooting enemies - Check

This game looks straight up boring

At least that is pretty realistic. Are you going to run to and fro while people have a height advantage on you and shooting at you? Hell no, I'm finding sold cover and staying there until the shooting stops.

oh i see, its because of the dialogues ur dissapointed hmmm.. it does tend to break the gameplay. although how were the dialogue during the cut scenes?

That was the most important thing for me to find out. I can't understand the clowns putting the graphics or animations down, they're the best I've seen so far.

after watching the gameplay video again.. i do not find those dialogues unncessary coz as a player ur busy shooting guys in the balcony while dragging the injured backward... also how convicing a French would sound while speaking englisth :P

You never ever ever use narrative in speach, it's the most amateurish thing you can do. 'Move ... move ..." is all you need with the camera focusing for a second on why you need to move. A camera angle from just inside the door would suffice for us to understand they were almost there. This is why it drives me nuts when I try to explain why TLOU is a masterpiece.

yes agreed, no one has touched TLoU in terms of presentation and naration, but dont you think we should cut RAD some slack, i mean ND had 3 games worth
of experience before nailing TLoU... and this is RAD first true AAA game, and a first try at an original IP of this scale, so i think they will learn and not to mention UC had some pretty corny dialogues too. So lets be fair to this New Studio by not judging it too soon.

There are levels though and this is at the very bottom at the moment. Perhaps the more meaningful conversation will be better, I don't know, but this doesn't fill me with much confidence.

Everything else about this game is top notch though and I can't for the life of me understand some of the critisism I've been reading.

The PS5 Exists.

The video just broasdcasted by Sony Computer Entertainment showcased heavily the M-86/FL Thermite Rifle, which doesn’t just have a secondary fire mode. It has two, even if the details were easy to miss due to how briefly they were shown, and to the low quality of the stream.
It’s primary fire feature is a machine gun, but two additional buttons control two further features that act in combination:
Press R2 to fire rounds of thermite-grit that burst into clouds of flammable dust.

Press R1 to fire an ignition flare into the thermite dust cloud.

Basically it acts like a two-stage grenade launcher. First you shoot the termite round and wait for the cloud to spread, then you need to shoot a second round to ignite it, making for some potentially very interesting tactical gameplay.
The video also showcases another interesting and easily missable tidbits in the form of the C-76 Autoloading pistol, which does exactly what it says on the tin: when Galahad runs out of ammo, the magazine is changed without him needing to use two hands. It’ll be interesting to see if Ready at Dawn will explain the mechanics behind this in detail.
As a side note, we also saw the healing properties of the Black Water, even if it’s not yet known whether it’ll be actually used during gameplay (IE: as a sort of potion) or not.

Still not impressed with this game for the hype it been getting.

Remember Uncharted one? They are using the same method of development. Focus on the story and core gameplay first and working out the multiplayer and extra outrageous additions later. No one jumped for joy over Uncharted when it first came out  and it ended up being a sleeper. Sony development tends to work that way. It doesn't need hype to be great. Everyone hypes Sony games today (unlike the pre- PS3 gens)because even if the gameplay style might be similar to another game, they always change  it up with the attitude, tone and feeling of the worlds you're walking through and the tasks which you will undertake. Sony has set a standard for development that even third party are starting to take notice of. I am sure Microsoft, themselves have taken note.

Not everything can turn out hyped like Sunset Overdrive within the game community. Did you know how much it took for that game to be created? Twenty years of working with Sony is being put into that one game. This game is a new project from a rising team working in tandem with Sony Santamonica, who actually has a chance to forever live in the halls of Sony. Insomniac was close but no cigar. Sony believes in these guys so give it time if you can.

I have not written this game off yet but I am still waiting to see something from it.
