My point is they try put some elements with thoose games to make a diferent and new TPS game, i dion't kinow what you wan't for a TPS games and that call generic and standar i m open eyes :) to tell me what you want for a TPS. For me generic it will be for example the U4 if they don't chance anything from previous U games and makes the same cover shoot gameplay with some epic moments

I guess. The TPS formula is super-perfected by now, so expecting big changes might be asking for too much.

I hope they bring something new to the table with U4 too.

I'm not talking month-by-month I'm talking about 2001, which was the first full year of the PS2 in the west. Games that the PS2 got EXCLUSIVE in 2001: GT3, FFX, Silent Hill 2, Ico, DMC, GTA 3, MGS 2, Jak and Daxter and others.

The PS2 had a crazy good first year if you think about it.

There were no other consoles on the market. FFX, Silent Hill2, DMC, GTA 3 and MGS 2 eventually became franchises that weren't exclusive.

And WHAT is the deal with exclusives? Do you feel you enjoy a game more when it's not on another console?

Looking at GAMES LINEUP, the PS2 and PS4 are comparable first year. Easily. Take off your rose-tinted glasses.

That has nothing to do with rose-tinted glasses (I only ever owned two of the games I listed anyway and didn't get a PS2 in 2001 but later). The PS2s 2001 was leaps and bounds ahead of the PS4s 2014. In 2001 the PS2 got a whole lot of games that in that year could only be played on PS2 and that are to this day still considered some of the best games of all time, most of what I see for the PS4 on the horizon in 2014 (and don't get me wrong I like PS consoles and I want a PS4) are games that are multiplat, crossgen and are being predicted to disappoint left and right already.

The one that seems to be wearing rose-tinted glasses is you.

If this happens, I'm selling my PS4 and buying one perhaps in two years. I've had the thing unplugged collecting dust for over a month now. DriveClub this year isn't enough.

2015 will likely be very good though.

I'm sure it will be much better than this year, but I'd rather just re-enter when I'm sure the constant stream of games will be there. That should be certain for 2016, maybe late 2015.

I refuse to believe they just have Driveclub and some b rated franchise (Ratchet?) planned for the rest of this year. I am always hearing about how many first party studios Sony has, but if all they can put out in the first year (which includes launch and two holidays) Is Killzone, Knack, Infamous, Driveclub, something else possibly and ports ... what the hell are they doing ....?

I don't think ports will cut it either, especially such recent ones, everyone just bought TLOU, why would you want to buy it again so soon? Same as GOW:A

Those who didnt buy the game will be interested, those who really loved the game and didnt buy the DLC could be interested too.

Playing TLOU in 1080p/60fps with gameplay as good as cinematic, it could worth the price.

5 first party games the first year to polish the others is good, dont think the 2 competitors can do half of that : i remind you Sony supported the PS3 until the end with a good bunch of first party exclusives, still they managed to bring more first party exclusives than microsoft. If they didnt support the PS3 and the Vita ( yes, Japan Studio has several teams on it) , they would have much more games on PS4. But since they stopped only recently the PS3 support, you can wait a lot of games coming in a near futur

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

Even if those 3 MS games get confirmed for 2014 (IF!), the only real difference is that MS is lumping it all together while Sony spread things out

2014 XB1 exclusives: KSR, SO, FH2, Halo Collection
2014 PS4 exclusives: Infamous SS, TLOU HD, Driveclub

assuming no more releases are confirmed (Lily bergamo, Rime, TLG)

I love VGC.

One guy calls games like WatchDog a PS4 exclusive due to higher resolution and the other one ignores Titanfall, because it is also avaible on other Microsoft plattforms. I just love VGC.

Was it the same guy? No, therefore you have no point.

edit: Ratchet, a b-rated franchise? LoL. "I just love VGC".

Er except they have???? Both Nintendo and Microsoft I believe? NSMB, Nintendoland, Zelda Remake, 3D Mario, Wonderful 101 and more I'm porbably forgetting. MS will have Sunset Overdrive, Forza 5, Halo Collection, Forza Horizon, Kinect Sports Rivals, Killer Instinct, Ryse and other smaller retail titles.

It confuses me too. With their work force, PS4 development being easier, and Yoshida confirming all of their studios are working on PS4 games, I would expect better than what we have confirmed so far. History shows that SONY doesn't really wait for E3 to inform us of new games. Maybe that's changed or something.

Who knows what's going on inside their minds. They clearly did not expect (did anybody?) the PS4 to be this sucessful, they might be having doubts on how to proceed, strategically, after this "surprise". And maybe decided that staying silent until they figure it out would be wise. Whether it is a good choice or not is another matter. EIther way we'll see at E3 and the following months.

It's not honest to put unnannouced games when you dont know yet those for Sony.
You show me they have not , i fixed your list with retail  games made by first party studio because that's what we were talking about : First party studios capacity.

+ you completely ignored my point about sony support for their other consoles, sony are the only one supporting their consoles until the end, still, their competitor barely achieved the same level of first party support for their new console first year.

So i dont know what do you find strange ? They can do more than compete in first party terms against the 2 others  whereas they had to support 2 other consoles.
