PS4 Vs Xone gap is 3,2+ right now(Xone still a little overtracked)

Around the Network

Sales for the PS4 and XOne are folowing the same ratio as last year PS3 and 360 at about this same months.

PS4 is doing about half the Wii numbers back in 2007-2010, they are even behind PS3 sales between 2010-2012.

Nextgen hardware sales have reached a plateau this spring and I can see nothing changing this summer. Watchdogs will give some boost but not for long.

The next great battle will be at the hollydays as usual.

I am sorry you only read the first lines of posts.. I said towards the end that Xbox One would NOT outsell the PS4 even after having parity release. I just said the gap would be less. I said that the UK was likely the only part of Europe where Xbox One could pull ahead, as we know that PS3 did better in all the rest of Europe.

I didnt only read the first lines, I just quoted those lines as that was what i was replying to. And I wasn't saying that you were insinuating sales parity with the PS4 if XBO was in more countries, just used your post as an opportunity to reply to all those people who seem to think XBO in more countries would be that much of a difference. And wanted to point out that nothing stops them from releasing or having released in more territories if they felt it would have been better for them.

Anyways, someone else said that kinect localization was the hinderance.... thast just MS PR too. kinect is just a bonus, and MS knows that... its also a bonus that is all software, nothing stops MS from releasing XBO in those territories with limited kinect functionality for now and then given them full support with a software update down the road.

Would you pay more for a feature that dosen´t work properly on your own language?

Considering how bad people talking of Kinect, even with 90% of accuracy, imagine how good it would look if it is release with "limited functionality".

You do know that out of 13 countries XOne is officially released in, only 5 actually have localized Kinect audio functions. In other 8, it is not supported.

So when MS says it's not releasing in more countries due to Kinect localization, it's pure PR Spin and BS.

Hahaha those American sales, dat NPD effect, I guess it finally got in after months of really big adjustments to one platform.

With posts like these your not gonna be around here very long

anyway to adress the numbers there the ps4 sold 4.4 million in november and december 2013 its currently at 7.6 that is 3.2 million consoles in 2014 including the japanese launch @ 330k thus 3 million/5 months is the real pace.

Oh my bad thats true. The PS4 sold 4+ml in ov and dec.... I must have been thinking XBO when making that post. Well, so that puts the PS4 at a monthly average of 600k month.

@Feanor.... if that is what he said then i retract having directed my post at you. Though i still feel that the monthly averages of the PS4 at least isn't bad though. Especially when you consider there aren't really games to buy for the console right now.

Did VGChartz adjusted down the PS4 in the USA also for April?

Answer... No, it still 250k against a more realistic 150k-190k.

VGC has PS4 at ~212k last month, and according to NPD numbers PS4 sold 199k....

Did we get any oficial NPD number or just Peter Dodd call for atention?

Because in the case of January, Sony did said they sold almost double the competitors... but this April it was only they were the leader on hardware sales.

It wasn't Pete Dodd who said it. Aquamarine from GAF confirmed it.

She isnt an insider nor has NPD info, she just does the math from available info.

It was the fastest selling game in the franchise, I'm sure the PS4 got at least some sort of bump. Not that VGC would even attempt to track that but oh well. We'll just have to wait for NPD I suppose.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

I'm not... it was released on the PS3 first remember? If there was a chance that people would have gon eout to buy a PS4 to play that game (which i doubt) then they kissed it godbye when the released on PS3 first.

Which brings me to something else i was thinking of. Wouldn't it be great if somehow AC, CoD, BF all were exclusive to the next gen consoles this yearand then made their way to the PS3/360 in january 2015? That would do wonders for sales.

With numbers this low (for most of the consoles), I wonder if the xb1 is going to lose its #2 spot in may (npd).
