It's barely been three months, and there are pretty much no great Japanese games out yet. Once games like Final Fantasy XV, Kingdom Hearts III, and other Japanese RPGs come out it's bound to do a lot better. Just look at the Vita, it started off slow but its picked up a lot of steam now that devs have finally moved on from the PSP. The PS3 is currently the console of choice for devs, but that's bound to change in a year or so once the PS4 picks up steam. 

It's the only point they can attack the ps4 with. Simple Jealousy.


Xbox360 was doomed in Japan, did it matter?

Doom and Gloom sells, and you're definitely right. Japan has historically purchased consoles when the games they want has released, and 3ds, vita all were weak at the start and got better when the japanese centric games came. Same is gonna go for ps4.

Cause the ps4 needs some hate too?

I don't know, because they want something to talk about?

Because hardware sells fell off a cliff.

Japan however small contributed to the comeback and 2nd place securing of the PS3 while some feel Japan should have bought the other HD console and not helped Sony pull this off. Long story short...bitterness and wishful thinking.

because it is the one victory or negative thing they can say about ps4, wishfull thinking, ps4 will grow in japan once bigger titles come, like Resi evil, MGS, Final Fantasy, Project best, and more will come. Just fans of the other console.

I came to say something but after reading every post before mine, I guess its common knowledge. So I'll just chime in.

It beats saying the PS4 has sold more in the past 6 months worldwide than any console in history before it. But hey... what do I know? Hating these days seem to be a full time job.

Rumor is that the next DQ game won't be a mobile game. Now if only we can have FFXV, DQ, KH3 and MGS5. We can dream right?

Its currently doomed, it just very bad in japan right now. This also means everything else, look at the charts and see how this gen is at a huge decline :)
