Btw: have you already read that the Nordic counties get the free game from MK8 without Club Nintendo?

Do you have the UK versions or are there Nordic versions of Nintendo games?

Yes I saw that :)

Bergsala, the distributor in Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland, does distribute localized games (box art and instructions). They're only translated to Danish and Swedish, recently also Finnish, no love for Norway :(

I see you're from Germany, I guess you're familiar with the colored triangles on the side of Nintendo covers? http://segaretro.org/Nintendo_of_Europe_Colored_Triangles

You can see there that Nordic countries has their own versions of the box and instructions. No translations of the game itself (Sony and Microsoft translate everything so it can't be that the countries are too small :)

I used to get purple triangles on the boxes, until Luigi's Mansion 2 came out. That was the first one with Finnish text, yellow-green triangles.

EDIT: There are also first-party games that are not localized this way from Bergsala, in those cases we get UK versions. Sometimes Club Nintendo codes come with them too, I've used them for Wii Points so far. But in the localized boxes there are no Club Nintendo codes. For Mario Kart 8 they'll include a code (or they will just use UK boxes).

Yep.

Actually I wonder - I have a UK Wii U (british plugs), my Nintendo ID is set to Poland, the Mario Kart 8 box I'll buy will most likely be imported from UK/Germany. My club nintendo is british. Can I get that free game or not? :)

I wish Ninty sorted out this stuff already. I already missed the 3ds super mario 3d land promotion because of my location (only for club nintendo countries).

I mean, I could buy all these games, but there is no better thrill than getting something for free from a video game company, am I rite?

YES YES YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BEEEN WAITING YEARS FOR THEM TO SELL IN MY COUNTRY!!!!!!

I'm from Norway, I also have a British Club Nintendo account (to get Wii Points from codes sometimes included in my games), but don't mention that when you claim your free game.

You will get a code included with your game that says Club Nintendo, but for you in Poland it's not related to Club Nintendo. If it's like in Nordic countries, you will only send the code to whatever they say you shall send it to, and then get your free game. Club Nintendo has nothing to do with the free game promotion in Poland and Nordic countries, except that the code sheet in the box says Club Nintendo.

Thanks a lot! That's great news, especially that I currently can't log into my club nintendo.

I always wondered what the triangles meant! That's awesome!
