Looks like you're being outvoted. I quite like child Link too. Windwaker Link is maybe my favourite.

No matter who wins, as long as Aonuma is free to continue his rampage, the gameplay isn't going to return to those times.
WHERE IS MY KORORINPA 3
I don't think Twilight Princess was gritty. It had more realistic colors, yes, but it wasn't blood and gore with only brown and gray colours. The whole colour scheme turned brown in the evening, but I LOVED the details like that. We've had very many child Links lately too. ALBW, WWHD.
By the way, Link is 16 in Zelda II, and he's also 16 in Twilight Princess. He's even older in Skyward Sword, 17 and a half, and that wasn't even "gritty" like you say TP is. "Adult" Link in OoT is 17.
He has never even been 18 so I wouldn't say he has been too adult in any game.
Yep.
When I read the thread title I thought you were talking about wanting Young Link back in Smash Bros. GET RID OF THAT TOON LINK NINTENDO!!!
What you're actually talking about I really wouldn't mind if the Link was young or old.
Generation 8 Predictions so far.....(as of 9/2013)

Doesn't get much older than that...
WWHD and LBW were both Young Link, and OoT 3D kinda was as well.
You're Gonna Carry That Weight.

To old, something Snake in MGS.
I am fine with either, even if Twilight Princess Link is my favorite design perfectly content with other styles employed in past 15 years.
