How can a game define a generation for me if I didn't play it?


It not about what you played. I never played CoD, but it sure as hell defined this generation.

I can't know what games defined a generation if I haven't played it sorry I don't know what else to say. I'm sure you're right though a lot of the games you guys have listed defined specific genres etc.....

Also I'm not really knowledgeable on Wii games, so I still wouldn't really know what to put under the Wii. Wii U on the other hand I'll be keeping up with.

He's from the future, seems the only game worthy of mention in gen 8 is 3D World. Judging by the games out now I'm hardly surprised.

Unless it's Call of Duty I don't think you can say any game has actually defined last gen. You can only list games that you think may have been popular but that doesn't necessarily mean those games defined what the gen was.

Last gen was either military FPS titles because of Call of Duty, or cinematic experiences which one game can't really take the credit, but I'd guess if so, then devs may have been inspired by Uncharted. .

If you mean definied as in my favorite titles of last gen,, which I don't really think defined much of anything.

Uncharted series
Infamous 2
Heavy Rain
Twisted Metal
Demon's Souls

Just to name a few.
