What don't you like about it?

the first thing is the fact that when me and my friend hooked it up, we learned that we couldnt do SHIT without xbox live. i understand, the paywall with the apps and all that is going to go away, but really, how could anybody who had an xbone before that support it? its absolutely ridiculous, but i understand that this point shouldnt count anymore.

besides that, the kinect is absolutely useless (i got one with kinect because i am also a collector and i like things that are original) and it feels like a huge waste of 500 dollars. i also should say that i work at a local video game store and i bought this thing by colleting our defective stuff and trading it to gamestop and in about three months, i had enough for the xbone, so for me, its not a huge loss, but i dont understand how this thing could be worth it to ANYBODY who has a normal job and a normal life. how does this thing sell at all? you need xbox live in order to do anything with it and that is bullshit, seriously. microsoft really wants you to pay an extra fee just to do basic things on their console. it doesnt make any sense to me. it also takes forever to start the damn thing. you have to wait literally 90 seconds after turning it on to start using it. 

i dont know, i did want one, but now that i have it, i just feel like its completely and utterly useless. i would ONLY buy this console for the games. if youre not interested in any games for it, dont even bother. 

we can continue this discussion, i do want to hear counter arguments. i downloaded killer instinct with it, and am very disappointed that its not a full retail game. the game sucks and it shouldnt. its a huge shame. so far, everything with xbone is a huge disappointment. i dont even know what to do with it.

So your problem with the console is that everything is behind a paywall witch you just said yourself shouldn't count since it's being addressed in a couple of weeks. Also you said you're not interested in any of the games out or coming out, why did you even buy it in the first place if you weren't interested in any of the games coming out on it?

@rubber it has being said that the boot time for x180 is faster then ps4. kinect is useful in its on right. it may not atm have games that uses it to its full potential ,, however wt it cabe used now,, its pretty good. one feature is the automatic log in.. just turn xbox on and look at kinect and it will sign you in . much quicker then ps4. in terms of xbox live,, if iy are referring to online play, then both machine have paywall ,, however xbox has the better online infrastructure. i have both and i prefer xbox one more mainly because atm,, xbox has more first party exlusives to play,, whereas ps4 has indie which is not my cup of tea.

ok well if you are comparing to ps4, i actually would agree that its a better console (by how much, im not really sure) than ps4. but i have been a wii u owner since it came out in 2012, and thats what i am comparing it to in my mind when i am using it. wii u doesnt have a paywall. for anything at all. 

1. You ranted about a paywall that is going away, making the full rant meaningless. Xbox Live has been around for 12 years, anyone who knows Xbox knows about Xbox Live and the paywall.

2. You bought a Kinect bundle knowing that you don't like Kinect, and that there's a Kinectless bundle for $399 for pre-order.

3. People with normal jobs can afford $60 a year. Its not a fortune.

4. Why did you buy it if you didn't have enough money/interest for the games+Xbox Live?

I'd name mine, please_dont_break_and_lose_all_my_stuff. Seriously, wouldn't it suck to have to re-download up to 16GBs of games/saves/etc?

Seriously 2, I'd call it myShit.

1. if this were only a week ago, there were still people who stand behind xbox and i still wouldnt understand why because of the paywall. as i said in my post, i UNDERSTAND that it is going away, but the people who are behind xbone now are the same people who were behind xbone before the paywall thing was announced, and i was saying that i dont udnerstand how people stand behind this thing.

2. as i said in my post, i am a collector so i wanted this original bundle that was out. what i was trying to say (i dont know if i wasnt clear enough or if you just didnt understand) i dont understand how the AVERAGE gamer who bought 4 million plus xbones before this announcements did so. but, this is the thing that i am most flexible on because i do see that potential in kinect.

3. 60 dollars a year is not a fortune but its bullshit that they make you pay that. i think its absolutely ridiculous. to do ANYTHING on the console you just spent all that money on, you need to pay an extra 60 a year. now, i do know that with xbone, they give you xbox live for however long when you first purchase it, but its still bullshit that they make you pay to simply use apps on the console. wtf are they thinking? and i cant believe it worked for so long.

4. i have interest for some of the games. i think the exclusives on xbone are way more appealing than the exclusives on ps4, and i saved up for it with DEFECTIVE MERCHANDISE from my store in order to buy it. so i basically got it for free. if i just wanted to hook it up and never use it, it doesnt matter because i got it for free.

So your whole point of view is coming from if someone actually got an Xbox One with NO MONEY for anything else? People "stood behind" this because they knew what they were buying, A game console. If we wanted something JUST for streaming we could have saved $465 and bought a Chromecast for $35. BUT now that the apps will be free on Xbox there's still people like you who knowingly buy a product just to complain about it's misfortunes. After they're taken away from the paywall your opinion won't change because there USED to be people who paid for it.
