I'm really thinking about sitting this gen out. I feel like I was swindled into the 7th one with TLG. Thank god Dragon's Dogma was there to wave away buyers remorse.

That is excluding handhelds of course.

I have owned a console in each gen since NES. However I played consoles much less last gen and much more on PC. So far this GEN the PS4 is beating the PC by a decent margin.

Gamer since 1999... My sister taught me about Pokemon when I was 1 or 2 years old :P

I've skipped a few, you know, with not existing and other issues. But I have played NES and SNES game before, so it doesn't really count. The only console I didn't own and haven't played a game that's on it is the original Xbox and sort of Dreamcast (Sonic Adventure DX and Sonic Adventure 2 Battle weren't on the Dreamcast!)

Not really, I've owned a console in each generation. Or rather, my family owned a console in each generation and I played it. Including the 1st and 2nd, but I wasn't around back then so I played those way after their prime. My own parents skipped the 3rd and the 4th generation, but my aunt had an NES and an SNES which I played plenty.

Since then I got all the Nintendo systems plus at least one other. PC gaming has been an ongoing affair since the early '90s.

I missed the gamecube because reasons. So much regret.

I haven't owned a PlayStation since the PS1, but I had regular access to a PS2 and PSP thanks to siblings and then housemates. No access to a PS3 and haven't considered if I want a PS4; outside of a handful of games, Sony's exclusives haven't tended to appeal to me.

Nope, barely skipped any console never mind a gen.

I skipped xbox , well I got one, but I bought like one or two games for it.
