I thought I read somewhere that you get to use just about all of the characters from TOS in your party at some point or another, but they aren't permanent party members.

I really hope they don't screw this game up. I loved Tales of Symphonia for the GCN. It's probably my favorite RPG ever. But, with the possibility of Lloyd being evil, that just annoys me. And not keeping all your characters from the previous game? Ew...
I think it will turn out well. It seems to have been in development for a long while, and is looking better and better with every new batch of screens or movies. I think the story will be very interesting.
