Well they're not getting a purchase from me

Exactly what I was thinking. There's somewhat of a drought right now and pretty much any new game sells well. Hell even Spider-Man sold well.
sounds about right for profit with these modern AAA's

Next-gen early adopters don't really have that much to choose from...
I think it will happen.

Hmm... I think their goal is a little too high.
Assassin's Creed sold over 10 million (on PS3 and 360, according to VGChartz), so having a new IP on a new generation of consoles sell over 6 million is doable.
However, I think because of the bad press (delay, downgraded graphics), the hype is not what it used to be.
I think if Titanfall was multi-platform, it could reach 10 million. My personal prediction for Watch_Dogs is that it will barely pass 5 million.
I am also curious what happens if it doesn't sell 6 million units. Will it be dropped as a franchise? Will Ubisoft give it a second chance? Or will it be a similar situation to Bioshock Infinite or Prototype?
So I guess 5 million sold is a commercial failure?
Oh fun times :)
