Looks great,, no questions about it. However considering the amount of extra development time, it being 30fps where most racers are 60fps and the fact the total number of cars in Driveclub is quite masll, most people would expect it to look much better than that.

I don't like racers but this is the closest any game has looked to real life to me.

This is looking great and I'm sure there will be no other game do this kind of details in environment and provide dynamic weather/lighting for another two years. Lets see any other game that does better in environments as well with 60FPS this year or next year.

Developers are giving very detailed environments and cars to feel them instead of going with ok in evey aspect to look good and provide more content which will be like lifeless. Stil 4 months to go, so we can expect even better than this before release.



GAMING is not about spending hours to pass/waste our time just for fun,

its a Feeling/Experience about a VIRTUAL WORLD we can never be in real, and realizing some of our dreams (also creating new ones).

So, Feel Emotions, Experience Adventure/Action, Challenge Game, Solve puzzles and Have fun.

PlayStation is about all-round "New experiences" using new IP's to provide great diversity for everyone.

Xbox is always about Online and Shooting.

Nintendo is always about Fun games and milking IP's.

Well if thats your feeling about it!

The foilage looks great.  But as someone else pointed out the hand/arm is appalling, the smoke effect in the first video is almost redundant.

And ultimately for a racing game running at 30fps on the most powerful next generation console its just not really there unless you really want to look past these things.

Eg.  The foilage looks better than Forza 5, the interiors and cars do not, and it runs at half the framerate.  On balance, maybe overall it looks a bit better?  

That said, we know it has had development issues, and there is a half year to go in the development cycle, so there is a good shot that things could improve!

This and The Order 1886 will be 2014's tech benchmarks, mark my words.

 

 

edit: what..? the interiors and cars do look a lot better than Forza 5 >_> everything in DC does. It's not even close.
