Are we to assume its sold 200k copies, or is there a reason to play this game without playing the campaign

My bad, I could swear I had seen a news about the PS4 version being released early.

maybe you mixed up, cause the PS3/Vita versions released early.
yer.. i'll stick to Ken Griffey Jr Baseball on n64. Still my favourite baseball game of all time.
So if we assume that the game has, like The Show 13, also added about 20k sales outside of the US to its first week sales and has gotten maybe about 20k sales digitally then that'd still mean we have it undertracked by about 30k.
This is of course assuming vgchartz' first numbers for the last game are accurate.
Unless they mean PS3+PS4+PSV sales are up 40% compared to last years PS3+PSV first week.

there are exhibition games which are just single games against a computer. road to the show which is just following a created player youmade starting from tryouts to the majors. Franchise mode which is playing a teams season. online mode. community challenges and more. ive only played rtts so far
Well deserved, the game is awesome. Been playing it since last Tuesday, and doing only RTTS so far. By far the best sports game I've ever played (and I've played a lot of them).
Now if I can only learn discipline and stop swinging at every single ball, I might actually make it to the Majors.
Only drawback - I got drafted by the Cubs and they are refusing to trade me :(
