Arrogance and stupidity are 2 different things. Sony 2006 was arrogance, MS 2013 was stupidity.

Maybe Sony 2007. It was arrogance because of the success of the PS2. MS I don't see as arrogant however they were ignorant.

I'll go with Microsoft since Sony at least had a good reason for their arrogance.

Sony's comments were majestically stupid but... they did not remove the blu-ray or cell.

Microsoft is actually making both kind of mistakes by having the world's biggest mouth AND adding features to a console that later on need removing because they were just... stupid/arrogant.

If I look at it like that I'd say Microsoft wins but all in all both companies suck big time in that regard.

I dismissed Sony until they dropped their price. After what MS did I said go fuck yourself. Microsoft already ruined the gaming industry with paid online, and the DRM was the final straw. The sneakiest thing about it was that MS wasnt going to tell us. They were just going to let the gamers fall into a DRM trap so they could make EA happy.

Sony 2006. they basically told their fanbase to get two jobs to get the PS3.

MS has arrogance all over the place....selling faulty consoles that were complete in their manufacturing to people just to beat Sony out of the gate. Thats how desperate they are to beat Sony. 

It is hard.
