Many Xbox Fans have claimed that the only  significant reason for PS4 outselling X1 is the price. Well now that this will no longer be an issue in June, in the event that the price cut doesn't close the gap in the U.S what will be the next excuse?

Lets completely forget about the Wii U...

Why are we making a thread for something that hasn't come to pass? Seriously, it's like you're just trying to rile up someone into a fight.

It's a legitimate question. In the event that the price cut does not cause the XB1 to outsell the PS4 in US like some users claim, what will be the next excuse? It's best to plan these things before they happen. A contingency plan if you will.

Its a contingency, its important to consider the contrary.

Less you make the same mistake of the Nintendo Fans whose threads are being revived that predicted that the Wii U and 720 would destroy the PS4 and that Sony would leave the console game this gen.

There are a lot more variables to consider then last gen, which is practically irrelavant, platform dedication, and price.

Hence, the possibility of this scenario is just as possible, if not more probably then the X1 outselling PS4, price cuts alone have never turned the tide, why would it work now?

Why would Xbox fans still think it's about the price though.  I'll bring it up again, but after the launch of Titanfall, people could purchase an Xbox One bundled with Titanfall and Forza 5 for $450 almost everywhere in the US for atleast two weeks straight and there really wasn't an increase comparable to the other weeks sales.  If you go to preorder the Kinectless Xbox One, it's $400 without any extra games.  You're getting around $150-200 less content and only saving $50.  I really don't see price being the biggest factor on why people aren't buying it, but we'll see once it releases whether it is price once it releases.. 

Your line of questioning makes it seem like a forgone conclusion.  And your dig at the WiiU doesn't elevate it into any status of "legitimate question."  Your only purpose for this thread is to pre-gloat in anticipation for the post-gloating you will do when this comes to pass...just so you can claim "I told you so."  

But really...what do you care what excuses someone uses to explain why their system isn't performing according to expectations.  I guess I forget that that is the main reason many of you are on here...for bragging rights and pissing contests.

This is the very same argument PS3 fans made early in that console's life cycle. It seems this gen has gone "360" and now the shoe's on the other foot.

I mention the Wii U because it released a year before the PS4 at a lower price, dropped in price again before the PS4 launched and was outsold by it in March. Hence the argument, of price being the only thing keeping the PS4 in first only applies when we are talking about the X1 and not the Wii U, which is of course a hypocritical argument.

Furthermore, you are arguing things that I neither stated nor implied. Don't assume that this is some kind of agenda driven question. Because as my time here as proven, I have no loyalties or allegiances.

if you beleive my question implies that I am claiming that the price cut will do nothing then clearly you need to correct your predilections, and stop making unjustified assumptions.
