I doubt that. There's really no real reason to choose X1 over PS4

perhaps not for you, but many X1 exclusive have a lot of fans in the USA, mostly Halo.

So your prediction won't come to fruition until late 2015?

When Halo used to be developed by Bungie, not 343i.

This is true. Halo 4 disappointed, and I can't see a remake having wide appeal to new fans. Let's be honest here, Halo 1 and 2 came out a LONG time ago, many of the people who played them either won't care to rehash them, their SP doesn't hold up at all in 2014, and the MP even is a bit old school now. Nostalgia glasses can be strong indeed. I find that people get engrossed in their '1st major online' FPS experience, and it explains giving undue praise to things like Goldeneye, Halo 1/2, etc. For me it was Doom 1/2. Was it great for the time? Hell yeah. Does it hold up today? Hell no.
I'm not saying it won't sell at all, or that it's not worth bringing out, but at the same time Halo MCC isn't going to be nearly as huge as people think it will. For brand new players it will just look like an ugly, not very deep ancient collection of games. To hit 1080p/60fps, they won't be able to have much in the way of next-gen graphics, as the horsepower in the XB1 is fairly poor at best, and the models/textures of the older Halo titles are not going to hold up even against things like COD:AW.
Halo 5 I'll reserve judgment, but the very real risk is that Destiny captures the die-hard Halo fans before it even makes it out the door, and holds them. For that matter, the content in Destiny alone this fall will be greater than the Halo series in its entirety. Instead of a bunch of tiny maps and fairly restrictive corridor/corralling SP, you have massive areas with truly huge numbers of weapons, varying classes, customization, armor, and a dramatically more advanced engine. The social features are also larger, and the marketing will be insane.
It's not a complete zero-sum game, but games in a similar mold (in this case sci-fi futuristic off-world shooters with MP from Bungie, lol) tend to appeal to the same type of people, and Destiny looks incredible. I was 4/10 meh opinion until the Alpha, and now I'm 9.5/10 can't wait. It tipped me into ordering the bundle, while Halo MCC even if it released on PC so I can play in 1440p surround, I just can't bring myself to care. Halo 5 I'll just have to wait and see, but 343i is not Bungie, and I didn't like Halo 4 at all. Halo of Duty is not what I want.

Your statement is a total contradiction because the prediction is that it will be soon. A year and a half isn't soon so his prediction will never come to fruition. 😁
I wonder what the Op has to say about those Us numbers being a virtual tie. At that rate XB1 will never catch up and we all know that he loves to use vgc numbers.
This week numbers prove that x1 is ahead of ps4 in NA and will pass it soon.
