If you had any real knowledge what so ever about what you are talking about you'd realize I wasn't talking about making it invisible either. Your extreme ignorance is hilarious. Where do you think the quotes come from? The process of removing them before you hit enter, or turning them invisible requires the same amount of "server" access.

This is so funny, I won't even reply.

Yet you reply just to say that. Truth is you have no idea what you are talking about once again, and once again it has been proven.

Nothing has been proven, I simply realized that you are the one that didn't understand.

I wasn't talking about retrieving quotes from the server.

I wasn't talking about making it invisible client side either.

Actually everything has been proven..I understand perfectly well since I have intimate experience with web development. Something you obviously lack. You were talking about "retrieving quote from the server". It can't be deleted as you said to do if its not there, and it can't be there unless its retrieved from where it's stored. In this case it is stored in the previous post you are quoting and is retrieved the moment you hit the quote button. Your absolute ignorance is more than apparent by the simple fact that you keep throwing around "client side" and "server" without actually understanding what either actually means. This is made apparent by the simple fact that you don't understand that Willem's solution would be completely "client side". Thank you tho for adding more hilarity by expressing extreme ignorance and nonsense to this already hilariously depressing thread.

This is extremely amusing, please continue :)

It's even more amusing considering the fact that my current job involves a whole lot of html and js generation based on db data.

But please, go on.

The only thing that's amusing is that you actually think people might believe you, especially when you throw around terms you don't understand. It's like watching an episode of CSI when they throw around computer terms without knowing what they are talking about. Keep telling yourself that tho. You are only fooling yourself.

Do you even know how the posts are even parsed? I mean I would expect someone with a Master's Degree to actaully post the simple solution instead of deflecting the question.
