Just a heads up for anyone looking for a cheap, brand new Wii U, the Skylanders + Nintendo Land Wii U bundle is on sale at eBay for $199.99 (free shipping to boot). 

Note that this model is the white Wii U with only 8GB of storage, but honestly if you're seriously going to be downloading a lot of games to your Wii U you probably were going to use an external HDD anyway. If you have one lying around the house just use that. 

Get this for $199.99 then pick up Mario Kart 8 on May 30th + free game deal from that, and effectively you get Skylanders + Nintendo Land + Mario Kart 8 + Pikmin 3/Wind Waker HD/etc. for $259.99 ... not a bad deal, especially if you already have a spare Wiimote, it's probably a better value than the MK8 bundle.

This is a pretty good price IMO, if you were looking at using the Wii U as kind of a secondary console but don't want to pay $300 for one ... this is not too shabby at all.

It's a good time to jump in too, the library has matured with NSMBU, Mario 3D World, Nintendo Land, Pikmin 3, Wonderful 101, Rayman, $20 Zombi U, Donkey Kong Country: TF, and Mario Kart 8 just two weeks away.

If Skylanders isn't your thing you can probably take it and trade it in for Zombi U or Wonderful 101.

The Washbuckler Skylander is "color change" that comes with it. This is the only way to get it. You can resell off the thing on eBay... (sold through this bundle many times this Christmas).
