You should have gone with Unepic. Indie games are so much better than Virtual Console.

You sir are an evil person.

Why? Didn't I save you from Unepic just two weeks ago?

Yes and now you're proclaiming its better than VC which we both know is absurd.

If you like Fusion, you'll probably love Zero Mission: the bosses aren't as good, unfortunately, but it largely omits Fusion's biggest sin: restricting your freedom of movement.

Yeah if it comes on VC I'll pick it up. I know its a good remake of the original with some of the Super Metroid elements added. Definitely love the original. I do have that on VC already and beat it just a year or so ago, again.

Regarding Metroid Fusion...way too much hand holding.  Cool mechanics like ledge grabbing are a nice addition.  All the Adam stuff was so much worse after playing it again after Other M.  It's just a chapter in the Metroid universe I wished didn't exist.  At least within the way Sakamoto executed it.

Refarding Unepic...it's one of the next on my list to pick up.  Is it terrible?

yep. I love the game, but the directness of what to do is not as fun as other Metroids.

I was going to get unepic, but Rol's suggestion and his review show its better to skip the game. In fact I think he said to get a Castlevania instead. A VC castlevania.. basically his post her is pure sarcasm and opposite of what he believes.

I'm gathering that it's not...

Epic.

The Castlevanias on the GBA are indeed amazing...Was hoping Unepic would give me a taste of that on the big screen.

All of these indie titles are cool...but it's like they are half games. They have a pretty cool idea and do it well, but don't flesh it out with more fun stuff to do. It's like the card battle game in FFVIII...it doesn't need to be there, and it doesn't take a lot for it to be there, but it adds so much to the world and the immersion in the game.

Just dled Child of Light and so far I'm feeling that way about that game. Maybe I just need to get a little further.

I don't think Unepic allows for zoom on the TV screen, so all things are tiny (complete room is shown which is about the size of six screens that would be considered normal for such a game). I played it on the Gamepad for that reason. That, and the small screentext. That, and the automatic pausing of the game when you use a hot key on the touchscreen.

Unepic is basically the game that makes the Gamepad the most useful out of any Wii U title.

That's what I was hoping for.  It really seems like a natural fit with all that inventory.  Was saving my money for Ballpoint Universe, but that seems to have been delayed out of May...I better jump in now before Mario Kart hits.

What are you saying? Do I sense an intent to buy Unepic? Don't be an idiot.

Damn...well did you play Knytt's Underground?  Your take on that title?

This game was awesome I played it for hours just to achieve 100% completion.

It's good stuff, man. I agree though, I was replaying it recently as I finally got around to playing my ambassador games on my 3DS, and I must say, being stopped so many times by the computer for guidance was annoying. And yeah, you're a bit past halfway. The ending is pretty cool. Though you might have a bit of it spoiled if you followed the hype around Other M back before it launched.

And lol at the Plant Core X, I did that too the first time.
