Forums - Gaming - Square Enix’s Publishes its 2014 Development List

I see Square Enix still doesn't seem to care about Dragon Quest in the West. Thanks a lot, SE. You're terrible.

...Or maybe it'll be a surprise announcement? No, no. I'm getting my hopes up.

Come on SE. Type-0 out West.

The official fan translation will be done in August so you could always get Type-0 and add the translation.

But cmon SE, stop it with your smart phone stuff.

Yep.  It should be good.

Thing is, that lets SE off the hook.  They do not deserve that.

Their lineup for this year doesnt look very good. This also confirms that we wont see FFXV sooner than april of next year. How i didnt miss the dreadful waits for FF releases.

Final Fantasy 7 - 1997
Saga Frontier - 1998
Xenogears - 1998
Brave Fencer Musashi - 1998
Parasite Eve - 1998
Final Fantasy 8 - 1999
Final Fantasy 9 - 2000
Vagrant Story - 2000

Look at that output!

Konami and Capcom were much better too...now, I can understand fewer games as budgets increased, but why is it that the QUALITY also went down in a big way?

And that was just Square! Not Enix and Eidos >_<

Even just from Eidos you're suddenly adding Tomb Raider/Soul Reaver and a load of other more experimental Western software. They had a pretty high output in the late 90s.

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

Wher is Type-0 for the West??? *cries in a corner*

Guess it's finally confirmed that FFXV won't be coming this year.

Never in my life did I expect to see these four words in the same sentence.

They wouldn't necessarily announce that with financial information though would they? Wouldn't they want a 2014 release date to be a big surprise at the end of an E3 or TGS trailer? Though you're probably right, we probably won't see it before April 2015. I shudder to think about what that means for KH3 since it's even further behind in development.

2017.

Give us DQVII dammit!

FFXV is sorely missing from here. They better announce a release date soon.

I guess we'll see Dragon Quest XI on PS4 at next year's E3. I hear X is making the most money out of the entire series.
