Forums - Gaming - What do the big three need to announce at E3 to get you to buy a Wii U/X1/PS4?

Wii U - Already have one.
X One - 200 dollars price cut, a new banjo kazooie.
PS4 - A price cut of 399.99 dollars.

Got all except X1.

It would take alot. Cant be achieved in less than 2 years and requires games like Shenmue 3. I am broke after having gotten a ps4 and a wii u. I dont want to even think about getting anymore consoles for the following years. Now, its time for the games.

PS4: PS3 backwards compatibility plus at least one game that for whatever reason looks really appealing to me. (There are a few on PS3 that do, so it would be great to just skip right to the PS4.

Xbone: Not going to happen regardless of games (principals and all that snobby stuff), but for the sake of conversation I would be swayed pretty heavily by Viva Pinata 3, and maybe some exclusive sequels to awesome XBLA games like Shadow Complex.

Wii U: Already have it, Pikmin 3 did it for the most part.

Currently playing:

Bloodbath Paddy Wagon Ultra 9

Sony and Microsoft would have to announce backwards compatibility and price cuts to $250. (; :p
Hey, I can't afford this launch price crap! Too many good old games to play anyway, I can wait 3 years.

XBO - Free console wide online multiplayer, $150-$200 price cut, No Kinect, Sunset Overdrive bundle, full Killer Instinct game, and three more exclusive games I need to play.

PS4 - Free console wide online multiplayer, $50 price cut, Sly Cooper reboot, Last Guardian, and three more games I need to play.

Vita - Pokémon

Well then,

I think its safe to assume that you won't be getting any of these consoles anytime soon...

Pretty much, though honestly, the online thing is my biggest issue. If the PS3 controller wasn't so terrible, it would have been the perfect second console last gen for me. I was way more casual last gen. (Like, excited for Wii Music and Vitality Sensor at E3, casual) Now the closest thing to a second console I can see myself getting next gen is the Alienware Steam Machine. Better graphics, free online, competitive pricing. All I'd need are 5 must have games not available on the Wii U, and I'd consider it.

If I didn't already have the Wii U, I'd probably say Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros., Pokken Fighters, Monolithe X, and a game to make my "I won't ever own Sunset Overdrive" pain subside, would have done the trick. I'd have bought it once Mario Kart 8 came out though with the bundle, and I would have gotten Wind Waker HD for free along with it.

XBox One- Microsoft needs to convince me that they'll have exclusives other than FPS and the occasional racer. If that's your thing, great, but I'm not into them. A price drop or Kinectless SKU would also help.

PS4- PS4 kind of wins by default if Nintendo doesn't magically get third party support and XBox doesn't have something stellar. I need a second system for third party games and right now PS4 is ahead by virtue of price alone. As for what they could do to get me to go out and buy one right away, I dunno. I've just never been that into Sony's exclusives.

The only PS4 game that's remotely interested me so far was InFAmous. Thank god my friend has a PS4 and thank god I beat it on his. It's a glorified tech demo. Extremely disappointing game. Not bad, but not worth $60 and not worth a $400 console. The controller is really nice though. Very premium, feeling. Terrible battery life though. Pro Controller users are way too spoiled there.

PS4 - Already own one, but they could announce more games. Uncharted, Guerrilla Games next title, etc...

X One - Price drop, ditch the kinect, and announce more games.

Wii U - Not sure what they can do since I'm not that interested in Nintendos first party that much. Price drop I guess. lol.

PS Vita - Nothing you can do Sony... I won't buy it.

You bought the PS4, which has almost no great games, but completely reject the Vita, which has some awesome games, just because?

Good job, you're really missing out on some amazing games.

This is coming from someone who owns both, I hate this mentality -_-

                                                                                                               You're Gonna Carry That Weight.

Xbox One - PS4 - Wii U - PC

3DS - Already Have one. A Golden Sun Edition could make me buy another, if it is really cool.

Wii U - Already Have one, but if they do launch Xeno RPG this year i would get another one, to give as a gift to my girlfriend and her siblings. Mario Kart bundle would do it too, but i'm only going to USA in August, i don't know if i will find the bundle by then.

PS4 - I know i am going to buy a PS4 eventually, the question is when. This year they have nothing on me. FFXV would be enough in the past, but after FFXIII trilogy it isn't anymore. I am most likely waiting util 2015 holyday.
Ni No Kuni 2 and KH3 would make me instabuy, though.

XONE - I really don't see myself owning both PS4 and XONE. I do think XONE has the better lead games at the moment, but PS historic can't be ignored. But they have util 2015 to convince me, so anything can happen.

Vita - Pokemon... Sorry Vita =/
Maybe if it comes for free in a PS4 bundle, as long as it is still under $450...

Nintendo WiiU: Third party support,Trophies/archivements system,ZeldaU

Xone: First Party non-shooters/non-kinect games,drop the kinect and price;

Sony: just open the first party flood-gate.
