Forums - Gaming - Remember Me is the most underrated game of last gen.

I bought it, enjoyed it, traded it in. It was a good game, but the level design was too random and the fights became repetitive. It's great making your own combos, but you end up spamming them over and over and over. Memory hacking was a great idea yet underutilized and too scripted.

It's 72 on Metacritic, I would give it a 7.5, slightly underrated. It had some awesome concept art though! Worth unlocking.

In my review I rated it at a 7.35, but I agree that the game could have used some more attention than it ever got from gamers.

I enjoyed it mostly, got interested when I heard comparisons to god hand, a truly underrated game. However the combat system isn't as intricate or satisfying and its story is more cogent (yes I am counting that as a detriment), and in all it just felt exceedingly average.

Combat system made me hate this game so much, that i didnt even bother finishing. Broken completely and totally repetitive. Having to do combos required insane precision and on top of that, enemies jumped on you from all directions. I kept dodging all the time without even been able to land a proper hit...

Interesting concept, but woeful combat, boring story, dull characters, appalling dialogue held it back. Surprisingly good graphics and gameworld aside, there is nothing notable about the game. Overated for what it is if you ask me, 5/10 sort of game, surprised it meta'd in the low 7s.

So, I just played Remember Me on my PS3 thanks to Playstation Plus. Thank God for it actually cause I woulda never played this brilliant game if not for it.  My goodness, this game is bloody brilliant. Absolutely ingenious concept for a video game and graphics are stunning. It had a couple of rough edges but nothing that kept me from being completely enthralled into the immersive, complex, and beautiful Neo Paris and characters they created. I'm actually upset I didn't buy this game and support DontNod.

I give this game a 9.5 out of 10 and I hafta update my best games of the generation list now. It's that good IMO. The fighting system an remixing memories aspect of the gameplay were astonishing to me. I actually haven't even played my PS4 since I downloaded it. That's how good it is.

i 100% agree with you, i still listen to the soundtrack while I'm at work. It's a wondeful game, and the history behind its development is interesting. I hope it doesn't die as a series.

Remember me is such a amazing game! one of the best of the generation! I really loved it! The story, combat, graphics, just perfection! I recommended this game to everyone. Hopefully we will be seeing a squeal soon :)

I liked it too. Its representation of the future is actually well done and one of the closest sci-fi versions of a real future.

I disagree that it's the most underrated game of last gen. I bought on PC a while ago. I liked the setting, characters, and story. Plus it has a unique concept. The gameplay was underwhelming though. It was good but not great game.

I tend to love games like this and I purchased it. I didn't really like it. There's something I just can't put my finger on that I just don't like about the game. I was excited to play it, too. Oh well. At least you enjoyed it.
