It just released today on the eShop, so I'm looking to see if anyone has any impressions. I'm not even clear if it's a port of an SNES RPG or a retro 16-bit style JRPG, so any and all info would be appreciated!

Can't vouch for its quality, but it's one of Kemco's iOS games, not an actual SNES game.

It's inspired by traditional JRPGs, but is not a port, but a new game. It was developed by Nicalis, a company founded in 2007, so no, this isn't a SNES port. They also developed Cave Story.

Smirkia, also known as Grinia sounds like a good game. Might try it.

So apparently it's incredibly buggy, and crashes frequently from even basic actions (like entering certain towns).
