It's not on rails. You can walk around bare foot on the ground.

I know that, but the IGN article says doing so will result in a swift death so there is little point to it.

maybe there reffering that if your on the ground more of the zombie guys come at you the longer your on the ground and at one point theres just to many

Or they're referring to you losing style the more you're not doing awesome shit. But it is in no way on rails. As the gameplay video showed.

Around the Network

I am pleasantly reminded of both inFamous and Rachet and Clank.

Though I have lost my faith in the xbox brand due to old IP fatigue *(Halo + Gears + Fable) and lack of new AAA IPs from the 360 in the last year or two. But damn, that style is pretty orgasmic looking and the game gives me more hope that this gens xbox will be as worthy of a buy as the last two were. This looks new, unique and most importantly is open world, which is my favorite type of game.

Nice. Nice, pretty and quite colorful.

Perhaps not in the traditional sense, but it looks like you can't get around on foot i.e. run along rooftops, but can only get around by grinding. It's probably just this one piece of footage though, and the visuals are beautiful regardless. I love the use of vivid colour in games!

You can't "run" to encourage you to use all the rails, walls and so on because otherwise, if you just "walk" on the ground the enemies will kill you very fast.

That's what they meant. You can walk on the ground if you want to but that will cause you too much trouble since enemies will get you easily and you will also get no style points so that your attacks will have much less power.

It's like a "you need speed to survive and you only get this speed if you use everything around you and don't try to do nothing as moving on the ground"

Watch the gameplay video. There is no dedicated run button but your character doesn't walk but jogs.

Yeah with walking I just meant that there is no button to run faster as the standard speed of the character. That's why I put run and walk  in ""

Do you know what is fatigued also? The same old comment about Halo+Gears+Fable.

At least research it. Fable has 3 mainline games and 2 of them came out on original Xbox.

For the  last 3 years MS has been pumping XBLA with tons of Indy and Arcade games but some folks downplayed it until Sony discovered the wonderful world of Indy games.

And the for the record the most successful Indy and small budget game creators are on ID@Xbox.

Found a gameplay video. Looks pretty good overall. Art style is fantastic and the frenetic gameplay looks cool. Only concern would be that it wasn't particularly deep gameplay wise.

Definitely pushes up the chances of me getting an X1 at some point.

Fable II was on 360 and not the original Xbox

Thanks for the correction man
