Forums - Nintendo - If Nintendo remade this game, would it be a system seller for the Wii U?

So I was just in that thread about people bashing on the Wii U tablet and saw Jizz's post about how he wanted to be able to use it to draw, but wanted a system instead of just a tablet.

So what if Nintendo remade and released Mario Paint for the Wii U.  System seller?  They'd need to add more to it than it's got on the SNES version, maybe allow players to create their own levels using any of Nintendo's characters and upload them to Nintendo's servers(or keep it offline only,) like LBP, etc, create music like on Mario Paint for the SNES, etc.

Wii U already has a great 1st party drawing game in the eShop. Though anything with Mario could be a seller.

As a downloadable title I can't see why not, it would be a perfect game for the gamepad to use.

I think it will sell well but I doubt it will be a system seller loll. Although, I would buy the game on day 1!

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

Yeah a serious art sketchpad and a cartoony Mario paint would be a nice combo.

Although system seller no. Memorable title for the future yes.

Consoles: 3DS, Wii U, and Vita soon. Super Paper Mario fan.

As a downloadable title, a new Mario Paint game would be quite cool and  it would sell decently as well!

Sounds much too sensible for a thing Nintendo would do.

They should though....like a lot of things.

Yes it will be.. But not the way you think :)

(And this is made on the assumption that nintendo will do VR for wii-U)

Mario Paint VR is perfect for a casual lunch titel/app..  (or latter.. but very much "on the way")

And yes.. It will be a very big sytemseller. Bigger than brain training. And even bigger than Wii-Sport (imo)

They should make the next Scribblenauts.
