Heart Gold and Soul Silver were made on the same engine as Diamon/Pearl/Platinum.

Probably the same here with the X/Y engine, hopefully better optomized (dem fps drops).

Wait did anyone else notice how they said "Explore a dramatic NEW world"?

Could this perhaps have a new region altogether or alongside Hoenn. I mean in X and Y there were several hints dropped about a new region surrounding Kalos. That may link into this somehow especially if Hoenn happens to be somewhere close to Kalos in the Pokemon world map.
