Road to the Show cuts out like 90%+ of each game, so you only need to worry about your own at-bats and only field when the ball has a chance of being in play where you would have to field it. This makes the game much easier for people who don't want to grind through an entire 162-game season or sim through it and lose the chance to gain additional training points and/or move up the orginization faster.
It is very accessible to non-baseball fans and cuts out much of what people may find boring about the game and gives it a pick up and play style of gaming. Got only 20 minutes to kill before going out somewhere? You can easily squeeze in a few games from your RttS career.
Didn't realize it was selling that well though. Might have much to do with being the only Baseball game available for next gen consoles. Yeah RBI Baseball 14 is coming, but it nowhere near what MLB The Show is.
iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.
