Forums - Sony - MLB The Show 14 on PS4 is a great game, even for non sports fans.

Idk about it being great for non-sports fans, baseball can be pretty boring even if you're a fan. But people must be dying to play it, seems like it has been sold out on PS4 almost everywhere I have been.

Road to the Show cuts out like 90%+ of each game, so you only need to worry about your own at-bats and only field when the ball has a chance of being in play where you would have to field it. This makes the game much easier for people who don't want to grind through an entire 162-game season or sim through it and lose the chance to gain additional training points and/or move up the orginization faster.

It is very accessible to non-baseball fans and cuts out much of what people may find boring about the game and gives it a pick up and play style of gaming. Got only 20 minutes to kill before going out somewhere? You can easily squeeze in a few games from your RttS career.

Didn't realize it was selling that well though. Might have much to do with being the only Baseball game available for next gen consoles. Yeah RBI Baseball 14 is coming, but it nowhere near what MLB The Show is.

Well, sorry that I haven't specified, this works for people outside of US, because we have no broadcasts to get blacked out of. If you live in the US, then all you can watch are out-of-market teams.

Yeah, I was thinking of asking my family from Georgia to sign up for an account and i'll send them the money, that way I could watch the Mets on MLB.TV.

I believe that might work around my little issue here.

Can you just give them a fake address, like Idaho or Montana? I'm in Europe, but as far as Sony is concerned I live in Dover, Delaware (no sales tax). And Amazon.com thinks that I'm in Indiana for when I need to top up my PSN account ;)

I can try, but I believe I may have done it before and ran into issues. Maybe since my card info has all NY addresses.

Hate to break it to you but different addresses won't work. They geolocate your IP so you'll be screwed unless you sign in through a VPN or proxy out of your market.

As for MLB 14 on PS4, I'm so disappointed that it doesn't support the move or sounds from the show from what I've heard. I'll have to wait until they fix that before I upgrade to PS4.

Picking it up today; should be fun, especially with friends.

Yeah, that's what the issue was. I remember that since I actually called them up right after signing up to cancel the service and asked if I could use an out of state address.

Well, that sucks then. But it's never too late to start supporting Braves. Your family will appreciate it, and you can actually see your team win :)

You're quite right. The Show is a systems seller to sports fans, and it's been fantastic every year.

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

Hahaha! They would despise me if I started rooting for the Braves. They have lived in Georgia for about 10-years now, but they all grew up die-hard Mets fans. The only time they visit Turner Field is when the Mets come to town.

It wont work unfortunatly. It goes off of IP. I had NHL center ice and was watching all the blackhawks games in Milwaukee. When I came 90 miles south into a Chicago Suburb all the games were blacked out.

Good thing I am a Penguins fan then. No blackouts for me here in NY.

Can't wait for tonight. Hoping Fleury continues to shut up the haters and make it three straight shutouts.
