The choreography during fight sequences is absolutely amazing in these movies. It's an absolute travesty that both movies have 10 minutes tops of action when they have such excessive runtimes.

That's certainly true though, the Spider-Man vs Electro fights rocked. I especially liked the part in the power plant where their fight produces actual dubstep music and Peter complaining that he hates the song. Best part of the movie right there XD

They really need to streamline the films. The fight scenes in the new spidey were absolutely incredible, honestly that last fight with electro was probably the coolest shit I've seen in any action film for years. THAT is what people go to see spider man for... Not hours of angsty teenage drama >.<

Personally i quite liked the latest film, but christ some parts were a slog to get through.

Another gripe of mine (and aside from a trailer a long time ago, I actually avoided a ton of stuff) is that soooooo much was given away in trailers and commercials.

I was getting the oil changed in my car yesterday and while I waited, I saw some Andrew Garfield thing. I didn't even know he had a British accent! Anyway, that little video thingy showed Rhino (which should have been a pleasant surprise), the coffee scene where Peter stopped the guard from catching Mary Jane, the Sinister Six weapons, the meeting with Max Dillon, the scenario with Electro misunderstanding Spider-Man, Gwen falling and Spidey trying to save her--I was like "WOAH! They're giving away the whole movie!" Sometimes, less is more.

That isn't the movie's fault but wow. Do they want to make money?

Well, there wasn't much action in the movie, and trailers usually consist of nothing but action, so, that's likely why.

I felt the trailer showed more then what was in the actual film itself.. like the film missed some stuff from the trailer like Peter being under surveilance by oscorp..

anyway the movie was kinda weak.. way too much stuff cramped into it.. some subplots are weak like:

Parker's blood (spend like 25 minutes about his parents, the search for roosenvelt just to find out parker dna stablized the venom. that was it ..whoopie doopie wasting my time),

Harry and Peter's childhood friendship (they have like what? 5 minutes screentime together? No emotional impact at all, when did the rich kid meet this average joe kid?)

Aunt May's working a lot just to get through life (And what does Peter decide to help: I'll go to london with you Gewn!)

Gwen looking for Max Dillion at Oscorp.. was there any need to connect Gwen to Max.. they spended like 2 minutes in the elevator..

the ghost of Captain Stacy.. man was that like a cardboard cutout or something.. I wished he would show up in the end and would say: "I told you so"

such a shame.. Cap 2 still my favorite comic book movie from this year.. don't think I like X-men more but Guardians of the Galaxy certainly has a chance just because it seems a lot fresher..

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

the spidey suit is the best but yeah they just don't flow well to me these spideys,

good action and dubstep electro scenes like the last one

Loads of angsty teenage drama is part of the reason why spiderman is a pop culture icon to begin with.

I actually hated the first amazing spiderman movie but I LOVED this one. The Peter Gwen Story line was perfect and it just about made up for all the movies other flaws imo. And they finally got Spidey's humor right. Raimi didn't even bother and in the first amazing spiderman he came off as more of a douche bag than just the snarky spiderman I know and love. His quips in ASM2 were actually exactly the kind of things spidey would say in the comics and I loved it.
