Other than a lot of people I've been perfectly satisfied with every Sony conference this year, so I'm sure I'll be happy with this one as well. ;)

It's not new per se, it's a re-imagining of the first one. I chose to interpret that as a reboot with all the new mechanics from R&C, and they've said that it'll follow the same story as the movie releasing soon.
Okay, maybe it is a new one after all.

I know, but it's functionally 'new' in my mind. I do hope they eventually wrap up Future's story line though :/ They spent a lot of Nexus repeatedly pointing out that there's still one major plot point that hasn't been explored. Seems odd that they'd do that, given that Redux should already have been in development while Nexus was being finished off.

Yeah, looking back at how much the series has changed since the original, they've got a lot of things that will be so massively different.
