I hate how she shits on this fourm .

It sucks, but she banned herself and we're all still here. She doesn't have a voice in that site anymore, so I believe we all shouldn't care of what she thinks about VGChartz.

I didn't care to begin with :)

December 3 the PlayStation is making 20 years.
December 2 The Legend of Dragoon is making 15 years.

I hope Sony have looked at it the same way I did xD

hehe, I've never played The Legend of Dragoon. Is it really that good? And more importantly... is it turn based?

Yes and yes. The story is pretty generic but the combat system is one of the best in any RPG I've ever played.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Oh man!

Look who's rising!

That's unexpected!

If you know something, then give us a hint about what it could be.

Nothing. He knows jack shit. Pachter was more right then him.

Am I the only one who really wants Wreckfest (Next Car Game) on PS4?

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCETqu03jG52LWwWd2N4AV0Q

It looks so good. The game has normal track based racing with obviously extra wrecking and it also has a Demolition Derby mode. Currently the game is in Early Access on Steam, but damn I want this on PS4! The game's Kickstarter (which failed) originally mentioned a PS4 version as stretch goal so there's definitely a chance.

So the 2 games will be announced in December?

we dont know. this is a tidux rumor, and tidux is as right as pachter usually is. we know there is an event in December, we might get more than 2 games or less or just 2 games announced. but two big AAA exclusives announced at the event is kind of a stretch when E3 just had 2 AAA exclusives announced (bloodborne and LBP3)

Sony Santa Monica Hires Former Ubisoft Montréal and CD Projekt Graphics Wizard Bartłomiej Wroński

Sony Santa Monica has been on the prowl for new talent lately, and recently managed to nab the definitely talented Graphics and Engine Programmer Bartłomiej Wroński.

Wroński is well known in the industry for his technical talks on next-gen graphics and volumetric fog effects at GDC and Siggraph, and has previously been working at Ubisoft Montréal and CD Projekt RED.

His Linkedin Profile (which still doesn’t indicate his new role) is quite enlightening on his many proficiencies:

  • Lighting techniques – indirect and global illumination, physically based shading and pipelines.
  • Physically based atmospheric effects – sky, fog and scattering-related phenomena.
  • Post-processing and screen space effects.
  • Complete rendering framework design and maintenance.
  • CPU, memory and GPU platform-specific optimizations and bugfixing.
  • Tools design aiming to help ensure technical quality of assets.
  • Direct work with artists and designers and coordinating optimization process.

The profile also lists his specific role in every game he worked on, and there’s quite a lot to take in:

Far Cry 4

  • Redesigning whole HDR post-effects pipeline to fully utilize the power of next-get consoles: motion blur, depth of field, tonemapping and bloom, various image based effects and techniques.
  • Major work on GPU optimizations on Microsoft Xbox One and Sony PlayStation 4.
  • Low level optimizations of all parts of graphics pipeline targeting the GCN next-gen console architecture.
  • Various work on lighting and materials – improving quality and performance.

Assassin’s Creed: Unity

  • Physically based rain drops and compute shader simulated rain ripples.
  • Wet materials, wetness world progression and wet surfaces.

Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag

  •  R&D activities – lighting, post effects and atmospheric effects.
  • Seveloping and shipping novel next-gen volumetric fog algorithm and screen-space raymarched reflections technique.
  • Taking part in designing and developing cross-generation Global Illumination technique – Deferred Normalized Irradiance Probes; optimizing next-gen compute and geometry shader based rain and atmospheric effects
  • Analysing next-gen console GPU architecture and creating guidelines for algorithm and technique development and optimizations.
  • Helping porting and optimizing renderer for new next gen platforms – Microsoft Xbox One and Sony PlayStation 4.
  • Optimizations and bugfixing on all game platforms – X360, PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3.

Cyberpunk 2077/The Witcher 3

  • Graphics and gameplay prototypes.
  • Direct X 11 programming – written whole hybrid tiled deferred/forward renderer.
  • Physically based shaders and lighting.

The Witcher 2 Enhanced Edition

  • Managing whole rendering pipeline.
  • Refactor of most of core and engine systems (streaming system, save system, etc.).
  • Refactor and redesign of whole post-process pipeline for Xbox 360.
  • Performance and memory optimizations.

The Witcher 2

  • Memory management
  • Resource management
  • Creating tools for profiling and optimization
  • Post-processing programming
  • Lighting programming
  • General rendering programming
  • Direct work with artists

Given the nature of his contribution and the fact that basically every game he worked on looked (or looks) absolutely awesome, there are few doubts on the reasons why the house of God of War wanted Wroński to be part of the team.

Hopefully we’ll hear more details on the PS4 game (or games) the studio has been secretly working on after God of War: Ascension, but considering Wroński’s expertise and the well known talent of the whole studio, I’m quite excited to see how it’ll look too.

Well, it's the 20 years anniversary, I expect at least one big project announced in December.
It's quite a achievement.

yeah it can be a good show, or it can be a very bellow avarege show. im not hoping for much, realistically E3 draws SO much more attention than something like this, so big games would have been announced at E3. i wouldnt mind being wrong though

Sony Computer Entertainment Japan and Asia shared quite a lot of information on the features coming with firmware 2.0 “Masamune,” but quite a few more caveats have been mentioned on the PlayCommunity site.

The Share Play feature, which is built into the party chat app, will also follow the rules below:

-You can be in a Party with 8 people, but Share Play can be done only with one of them at the same time. The rest of the Party won’t be able to see the screen, but will still be able to chat with host and guest.

-When the host is visualizing any other screen than the game being shared, the guest is shown a “stand by” screen.

-The Share Play time is limited to one hour, and the remaining time is visualized in the Party screen, but you can start a new session immediately after the one before expires.

-Certain games may have scenes that cannot be displayed during Share Play.

-While you use Share Play, livestreaming and remote play are not available.

-The guest cannot save video clips and screenshots during share play.

There’s some more info also about the USB Music Player app:

-It’s not possible to copy music files from USB to the internal hard disk of the PS4.

-The tile of the USB music player will be shown exclusively if the connected USB storage has a “Music” folder. Also, it cannot be used at the same time as Music Unlimited.

-Tracks played by the music player won’t be heard while livestreaming and in videos recorded by the PS4.

There’s no precise information, for now, about when the new firmware will be released by Sony. Hopefully it won’t take too much longer.

^^Nice, I wish we had fidelity like this in games.

What I would love to get from ND though is UC4>TLoU2 (2017)>Espionage game (2019)

I really want to get a game that was supposed to be Agent. Give me an espionage game set during the 70s, high risk high profile missions, Eastern Europe, Middle East. Magnificent set pieces. A lot of stealth, a lot of tension.
The engine is there, this game would be similar to TLoU and UC, and ND flourishes on cinematic games, they perfected the formula which this game would fit perfectly in.

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!

I will be surprised when he is right.
