Can I just say how happy I am that after all the bitching against Sony, no new remaster or anything was announced? There were serious rumors about GoW:A and Beyond but still nothing on that front has been shown.

Also can someonte explain the P.T. stuff to me? Has Sony actually dropped a mini megaton here? A new Silent Hill game, with Hideo Kojima, Guillermo Del Toro and Norman Reedus involved, which is exclusive to PS4? Did I get that right?

Not sure if it's PS4 exclusive. Gotta wait for more information.

I was happy to see Sony avoid more remasters, of course people were just going to find something else to bitch about. Now instead of a portstation it's an indiestation.

Well if it is, then I have to, to avoid being a hypocrite, say that I find it a bit annoying to make an already multiplat franchise back into an exclusive one, but seriously how freaking brilliant was that reveal from a marketing perspective? Huge props to the guy that thought that up.

It was genius. If they just announced normally how many people would care? Silent Hill hasn't been relevant in so many years that it would end up being ignored, but now the entire gaming community is talking about it. If it wasn't for the Tomb Raider exclusivity it'd probably be the most discussed game of the show. Well done Kojima.

Which reminds me, I gotta go download the teaser and check it out.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

It seems Tearaway Unfolded will be joining LBP3 in having a 1080p/60fps target: http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2014/08/12/tearaway-unfolded-unveiled-ps4-gamescom-2014/

Hardly surprising though, it's not exactly a graphical showcase like The Order :p Still, it has a charming art style.

this game is beautiful! i love it. i need it, i need itttt!! i NEED IT!

I still don't understand how some people (not everyone mind you) still think that some indie games dont count as being something important to a console and which automatically leads to Sony having a bad/terrible showing. I mean I have seen a lot more interesting gameplay mechanics/concepts, and artstyle/visuals coming from indie games than most new AAA games. And sony showed a shit ton indie games this year. Hell I would even consider some of the indie games shown to be mid-tier games. Which I think the industry needs more of to be honest (mid tier games rule!!!)

Let the people bitch, honestly thinking about it again, I can say that Sony actually had a pretty great showing.

Bloodborne and The Order trailers were great, Rime looked beautiful, Shareplay sounds like a promising feature, the Wild announcement was exactly the kinda thing I want to see at these conferences, a game that I have no expectations or knowledge about that actually blows me away and don't get me started on that brilliant P.T. thing, they really dropped the bomb there. They even announced or re-announced some new retail exclusives with Tearaway and Until Dawn (and possibly Silent Hill and I could imagine Wild being retail, too).

So yeah, great Gamescom imo.

Wild was a great surprise for me. I wanna play with a talking skeleton!! (Also giants?) Until dawn looks like a fun B-horror film type game.

And tomorrow children also really picked my interest. And P.T. Secretly being silent hill made by del toro and kojima? Awesome surprise.

I guess all that matters is what I want

I was still doubting on what console to buy come 2015 because of the Tomb Raider announcement. But the more I see of these indie/mid tier games the more I lean towards buying a PS4 (and I can still always hope for some Medievil announcement for PS4 )

There's still TGS, E3, Gamescom and another TGS before Rise of the Tomb Raider releases

A lot of time for Sony to show something new.

True!

And Ben also said that Sony  could make some kind of 3rd party exclusive announcement next year. Excited to find out what it could be.
