Cause the whole point of Ellie in the game was to give the player a hot sidekick to stare at... seriously, all this hard work ND put in the game to create a fleshed out female character that isn't just used to be sexualized and we still get comments like this, shame on you. :/
Also to people saying Ellen Page, I really think she is a little too old to convincingly portray a 14 year old girl.

Ellie has a interesting personality, and this girl just doesnt give the same vibe as ellie. what i care about is how i feel about ellie, and whether people accept it or not how somebody looks does effect how people feel about them. i am not saying she doesnt fit the part because she is unattractive. i am saying she doesnt fit the part because she doesnt look the part.

What the hell are you talking about sexuality, this is supposed to be a 13-14 yo girl. What they are offering is a 17 yo troll with a face only mother could love. Sure, she might fit the supporting role in a TV series, but to think she could carry the movie is insane.
They should audition the role, find a fresh face with acting talent and give her the support of a quality actor.
Because I sure hope they are making this movie to earn money in theaters, rather than have it gi straight to cable.

You're not making yourself look better here...
Right now you're coming off as extremely shallow, because you're linking her looks directly to her talent as an actress, I mean seriously that is your whole argument: "I think she's ugly, they need to have someone else play Ellie". If you said that you think she's a bad actress, then fine, I personally don't watch GoT so I can't comment on that, but you focused your whole point on how you think she's ugly and that's just sad, simple as that.

Well, I can't comment on her acting either. I guess you're saying that ugly people deserve a chance as well. Maybe I'm shallow, I don't give a shit, but when I watch a movie I don't want to watch someone ugly, unless she's talented like Meryl Streep. Which I doubt she is.
Maybe they should cast Danny DeVito as Joel, he's a damn good actor.
Whatever, people are so sensitive these days. I hope the casting director has eyes, all I can say.
