Nah that's too clear cut. It depends if you have the kind of cash to splash out on a good rig, and if you enjoy PC gaming enough to warrant it.

In recent years I've started to enjoy PC gaming again, but with not very demanding titles like LoL, that run just fine on my laptop. I don't have the spare cash to buy another system or upgrade my PC.

As for console gaming, I said from the onset that I would probably go with the most powerful system for this gen, even though I prefered Sony franchises. Then as it turns out the PS4 came out as the strongest machine again, so it was an easy decision. I went in on the purchase with 2 others. I prefer having the most powerful machine under my TV, because I want the best graphics consoles have to offer. 

I don't know if I'm a 'real' graphics whore, but I find tech demos very exciting, I love looking at effects and textures in screenshots, and even if a title is slammed by critics, but visually looks fantastic and performs well, I usually want to play it.

I love beautiful graphics but I don't count polygons. I just enjoy stunning visuals. Some of the worlds in Mass Effect, the crisp cartoon lines of WWHD, the shiny Mario model of SM3DW or the detailed city of GTA5.

It doesn't replace solid gameplay, but it adds a lot to it. Though part of me does long for the days of mysterious black backgrounds making you think Metroids were way creepier than they really are.

I used to be a graphics whore during the late PS1/N64 days. The difference to PCs was soo huge and the Dreamcast wasn't that popular.

5th gen graphics are still the ugliest to me.

its clear cut for a reason,  real geaphics whores stick to pc -  they can upgrade to their hearts content for the best graphics,  dont confuse owning a low to mid spec pc aa autonatically being a graphics whore.

Yes but at the same time those "graphic whores" you call pc gamers are spendding 1000's of hours playing MMO's, which are never amazing graphics.  So what does that say?

really because most of the ones i know are playing seriously demandibg games at high resolution. 

most people who mmo hardcore actually have mid range pc's from what ive seen,  back when i lived in the UK i would attend the multiplay iseries events as press where thousands of gamers would setup their pc in a hall and game for 4 days straight,  the mmo and counterstrike crowd almost entirely were running older hardware or even laptops,  where as those i would peg as being graphics whore spec pc owners were running the latest games.

I can relate to that lol. I'd be curious to know what % of my game time is spent trying to find the perfect screenshot :P I MUST PRESERVE THESE MEMORIES OF GLORY! So that i may look back on them in 15 years and think to myself "I used to think this shit looked good...?"

That's like saying you aren't a cinephile if you don't own a home theatre system, or you're not a bibliophile if you don't have a library of books at home. 

Not owning something is not the same as not wanting or enjoying it.
