Just look at what happened to Rare

it would be bad for many many reason, but this example alone is a big reason why it would be a really bad thing. look at how MS managed to kill rare, they would certainly do it to nintendo to.

-_-
Well I mean Im all for sticking to retro games if thats the case.
Hell I would even quit Sony at that point, the modern games industry would be dead to me.

Maybe Nintendo should buy the Xbox brand instead? that way we have less haters! Nintendo would finally get 3rd party support they always wanted and Xbox gets a foothold in Japan and an even more impressive first party line up.

But then we'd get the Nintendo hardware...

What's wrong with that?

I would quit gaming, that's for sure. Worst idea ever.

Eh... it sounds like a bad idea all around. I'm worried about what MS would do to Nintendo franchises like Legend of Zelda or Mario if they were to get their grubby hands on on them.

I liken it to the way Disney acquired the rights to Miyazaki films...

10/10 do not like, lol.

Remember Rare.

It wouldn't be possible in the first place.

For everybody in the thread who thinks Microsoft killed Rare, it was THEIR own damn fault that they ruined themselves. Their last big game on the gamecube showed that they were in decline well before developing games for Microsoft.

If Nintendo continues to be irrelevant in the next few years like they are now with the WII U then yeah they might be better off being bought by Microsoft cause at least Microsoft has their shit together when it comes to management.

I think they would make a good combination as far as IP's that they own. However, their business practes are drastically different, which would mean one side or the other wou,d have to adapt... Which could be pretty awkward. I would be happy to see their franchises appear on one system, but it will never happen.

If one of the big three were to exit the console market. I dont see their division being picked up by one company. The division would be divided up and sold off in chunks.

It would be bad. As in no fucking shit. What a horrible idea.
