Would MS acquiring Nintendo be good or bad?

Good...powerful innovativ... 58 15.59%

Bad...Ugh this would be a mess. 273 73.39%

Yo Mama 39 10.48%

Total:370

Okay so this is just a hypothetical question. Not that I want it to happen or anything.

I just wanted to know your opinions on what you think this acquisition would mean for both companies. Would this be a good thing or a bad thing? Also, how would this affect the hardware and software manufacting strategies for the combined MS+Nintendo gaming division? Would this new gaming division be able to put out hardware and software that could win against Playstation and dominate the market?

Oh and please don't bring up the "competition is good" argument. This is about what would happen if they DID merge, not if they SHOULD merge.

Let's see what everyone thinks.

WARNING: The below stated is my opinion.

Would love if this were to happen :)
Xbox One with its slick UI, my favorite controller, Xbox Live, 3rd party support and then Nintendo... The developers of the best games in this industry. Would be perfect!

Edit: At least someone give the first option a sympathy vote besides me! lol

I would get out of console gaming faster than you can say fuck

Paid online, dlcs everywhere, internet explorer, bing, expensive console with mandatory kinect! No thanks

Just look at what happened to Rare

if anything it would be Nintendo buying xbox from MS, as i dont see anyone at MS being in favour of spending the kind of money it would take to buy nintendo. isnt nintendo sitting on a huge pile of cash right now?

it would certainly provide them plenty of exclusives but im not sure if they are the type of games the main xbox fanbase likes to play

I am Torgo, I take care of the place while the master is away.

Ha.. i won my bet, but i wasnt around to gloat because im on a better forum!  See ya guys on Viz

I don't see Microsoft taking any hardware advice from Nintendo, as far as software goes it could go either way, Nintendo games could remain the same, but on a Microsoft console or we could have another Rare situation.  Also I could see Microsoft still letting Nintendo make handhelds to compete against Sony's handheld.

I was just fantasizing about a console made by Microsoft and Nintendo for no real reason, so that's funny. I'd rather have Sony buy Nintendo though.

Then MS would actually have a handful of good exclusives i'd enjoy.

So you're saying you wouldn't want Rikka dancing to the Wiikinect Music Central?

I don't hate MS or anything, but my answer is NO!
