Blah. SS had upgrade system too, and all it amounted to was taking typical zelda items breaking down just to have you build back up to them( potions.shield). On top of that, zelda structure is so strict that you cant make something that games story doesnt want you to have yet( sword). If the craftsmen system is going to have a tight bottleneck then forget about. For those who play rpgs, craft systems are about creating cool useful gear before you should have it as a reward for tedious work.

This is vague and wishlist-like.

BubbleWS is not a source, as Gamespot found out

Agreed. The thing that really throws me off is 150 hours of gameplay. Even if that includes a second quest it still seems long. How long is Twilight Princess? 60 hours?

Now, would I like it? I guess. I like the idea of more exploration, especially after Skyward Sword. But I'm not crazy about returning to dual analog, especially after Skyward Sword. I dunno, it all sounds more like an open-world action-RPG than it does a dungeon-oriented action-adventure game.

"A quick look at Bubblews.com reveals that it's not a news website; it is a user-run community website where people can publish whatever they'd like. In fact, according to the Bubblews About page, users can get paid based on the views and shares they get on articles there.

In other words, if you go viral, you get paid—whether or not your rumor is true."

Yeah, I'm not believing anything that comes from that site.

I cannot remember a confident source in regards of Zelda leaks, but I'll leave here. Some points are rather interesting:

~Every item will have multiple upgrades as well, and these upgrades are also available at many different points and places in the game.
good

~The game will make ample use of the Wii U gamepad and, because of this, return to the traditional analog stick control format rather than the Wii Motion Plus.
great!

~The art style does not strictly follow the 2011 tech demo, but it is obvious that it was definitely an inspiration. Link is a good bit taller, as well as a little older than he appeared in the demo. Many of the areas of the game will be very dark (yet not as "washed out" as Twilight Princess), but there will also be very vibrant areas that scream Wind Waker and Skyward Sword influence.
awesome!!

~The game will have well over 150 hours of gameplay and much more than anyone needs in replay value with its aforementioned, new gamplay format.
okay, no.   that's just too much.  that better include side missions because a mainline quest of 150 means i'd never finish.

Holiday 2014 made me smile

"Games are a trigger for adults to again become primitive, primal, as a way of thinking and remembering. An adult is a child who has more ethics and morals, that's all. When I am a child, creating, I am not creating a game. I am in the game. The game is not for children, it is for me. It is for an adult who still has a character of a child."

It seems plausible, and very safe. None of it is anything someone with basic knowledge of Zelda games couldn't easily whip up in twenty minutes with a keyboard.

Having said that, I like the idea of more side content, and not so much of a focus on linear story-driven narrative. Zelda used to be great because you could see something somewhere on the horizon and then go explore it, and find things you don't really need. That was the point. To go exploring. That's why SS was so, so disappointing.

The Screamapillar is easily identified by its constant screaming—it even screams in its sleep. The Screamapillar is the favorite food of everything, is sexually attracted to fire, and needs constant reassurance or it will die.

About the 150hrs, I think many of you should take into consideration that most estimates are inflated. For example, my first play for TP was like 85-90hrs exploring and all that. Now I can beat in less than 50hrs.

Plus, sidequests, backtracking and more filler-pointless-sidequests could make it reach those 150hrs.

My point is that the time is nothing to worry. I actually don't believe anymore on those estimates.

The 150 hours let me know that it was fake. No game designer with a brain thinks that 150 hour of committed gameplay time it a good idea.

Something like that, if you do a good portion of the sidequests. If not all. And spend some time fishing and doing other pointless stuff.

My first playthrough of Skyward Sword was 73 hours. I did 100% the game, but never did the Hero Mode. With it, I'd say it would clock at around 110-120. Wind Waker HD I spend 50 hours on, but didn't do everything there is to do (yet more that I ever did on the GameCube, what a simple improvement such as the Swift Sail can do to the enjoyability of a game). Second Quests are also always shorter, because you aren't going to do every fetch-quest a second time. For example OoT3D took me about 45 hours on the regular quest, doing everything except the final fourty or so Skulltulas, while the Master Quest took me only 35 hours even when I died a lot more and actually had to think in dungeons again. My 3DS says I only spend a little over 30 hours on A Link Between Worlds, even when all I didn't do was find the last two Heart Pieces.

So I agree 150 hours, as a single quest but indeed even also including a second quest, sounds like a lot (but I wouldn't complain), we're entering Elder Scrolls territory there.

I don't see Nintendo talking about how long their game is. These things varies a LOT unlike linear corridor games.

Other than that I think (hope) that much of it is true.

Yep.
