Forums - Sony - Why Driveclub when we have Project Cars ? First PS4 Screenshots

very simple, because they are not the same game

This Project Cars looks really good. Hope gameplay and controls are great too.

You may have asked yourself a couple of times – what’s the big deal about Project CARS, besides that it looks so damn good? Perhaps that its developer Slightly Mad Studios managed such visuals without the budget behind a Gran Turismo or Forza Motorsport. The racing sim was already looking amazing when it was coming to PC, but now that it’s been announced for PS4 and Xbox One, it would be interesting to compare and contrast the two versions.
We took the PS4 version [screens were released today by Slightly Mad Studios and have been confirmed to be in game] – which will arguably end up being the best looking console version – on top and the PC version on the bottom. And not to quote upworthy or anything but the results will surprise you.
Note: This is not to be taken as a final comparison between the two versions. This article is more about how the PlayStation 4 version is shaping up. For our final verdict on the differences you have to wait till November.

Static screenshots of racing games have looked incredible since the PS2 era lol. When you see them in motion it's another thing

Game of the year 2017 so far:

5. Resident Evil VII
4. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
3. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy
2. Horizon Zero Dawn
1. Super Mario Odyssey

I'm more interested in the arcade/online setting/experience of Driveclub. Those pictures are really beautiful!

Once you entered you won't be the same anymore. A blog about life.

I think Project CARS is for the GT/Forza crowd on Wii U, and maybe an alternative to GT/Forza on the Sony/MS platforms. Essentially car racing sim fans.

Drive Club is more like the Test Drive idea, more invested in the social experience. Probably some crossover, but probably also crossover with NFS or Burnout or basically the more arcady racing games.

The rational response is that one is a arcade game and the other is a sim.

The fan response is that "Exclusive > superior multiplat any day of the week on principle alone"

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

One is a sim and one is more arcadey. Why not gave both?

That said, both are games that involve driving a car. You think gamers, who are spoiled for choice every holiday period, will buy 2 racing games in the same period? One way or another, these games will cut into eachother on PS4.

Looks nice but how will it play.

Because it is like to compare a fps with platform...

Or you can play both for the cost of one? You're getting PS+ anyway, just try the PS+ version instead and bbuy Project Cars. When you want to expland Driveclub, you can expand on the cheap through PSN.
