Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo patent application shows portable system with interchangable controls

Children are gonna lose so many of those it's ridiculous It would probably be a larger issue than DS hinges breaking. I also think this is off putting. It's honestly possibly more intimidating than the game pad controller.

If they want to add inputs they need to be simple or unobtrusive.

Here it is:

"Two Nintendo devices have recently been approved by the Korean Radio Research Administration.

The first was certified on April 18, and is described as a small video player. No details were announced of this new device other than its new model number, WIS-009."

It kinda coincides with the new Nintendo patent. And so close to one another...

I think this is a great idea.

It is quite uncomfortable to play 3D games on the Vita and 2D games on the 3DS because of the d-pad / analogue stick placement....this solution would get rid of the problem.

That looks like one of those things that look great in theory, but turn awful when they become real.

Please excuse my bad English.

Former gaming PC: i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Current gaming PC: R5-7600, 32GB RAM 6000MT/s (CL30) and a RX 9060XT 16GB

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

The idea behind this is great.... but how many of us would lose the modules or damage the inputs (as I imagine we would be sliding the pieces in and out frequently.)
