Like OP says both 3DS and Vita are overtracked. Despite Almost Guaranteed Accurate Japan  Hardware sales, We still got US/Europe/Restof The World. This thread is to showcase by how much, and of course do we know exactly how much and where. Is there some things wrong with a region's specific number? Lets find out.

 

***UPDATE*** Vita+PSP Shipments  10.4mil (Last 2 years) 

FY 2012:  7.0mil     Q1: 1.4mil     Q2: 1.6mil      Q3: 2.7mil     Q4: 1.3mil   

FY 2013:  3.4mil     Q1: 0.6mil     Q2: 0.8mil      Q3: 2.0mil     Q4: Unknown

VGC has 7.2m PSV + 5.8m PSP Sold (13mil). Overtracked by millions. But wat exactly? Dont know!

 

 

Currently 3DS and Vita as of Apr 19th have sold 44.06mil and 8.09mil respectively.

BREAKDOWN PER REGION + (speculation)

★ Japan ★ (as of Apr 13th)

3DS: 15.46mil (VGC)   15.41mil (MC)    15.44mil (Fam)

Vita:   2.76mil (VGC)     2.80mil  (MC)    2.72mil (Fam)

 

★ US ★ (As of Apr 5th)

3DS: 12.21mil (VGC)    Less than 11.69mil  (NPD) ⇒At Least 525k Overtracked)

Vita:   1.74mil (VGC)      Less than  1.61mil  (NPD)  ⇒At Least 128k Overtracked)

 

★ Europe ★

3DS: 12.48mil

Vita:   2.54mil

 

★ Rest of the World ★

3DS: 2.78mil

Vita:  0.87mil

Of course there is no concrete evidence to say Europe+Rest of the World numbrs are overtracked but by looking at them, they just might be.

Anybody with shipment #s etc?

yes, even though 3DS will have the numbers revealed, Sony hasnt shown any shipments of PSV, but instead combines it with psp shipments :-/

We might conclude that, because PSP shiments are so low, it's 10%-20% PSP and the rest to Vita. Or something, cause we well never know the Vita shipments any other way...

Dont kno when the meetings are (Ninty migght be May 7th).

As for PSP argument, past two years they have been close. PSP sells almost the same much as vita in Europe and US. Only Japan Vita has been killing the psp!

Well, damn Vita might be overtracked by alot if its 10.4mil shipped + This quarter. PSP has been doing roughly 1/3 of vita sales past 2 years in US+Europe.

As for vita tv, they will count it but looking at japan's numbers it didn't do well. It sold 45k FW then dropped 3-5k during Dec and currently does 1-2k a week (so it might be close to 100k now)

No, like 150k tops. It sold around 100k now

Damn Overtracked to the max, i thought 3DS was bad (cuz lets face it, it should be around 1mil over )

13mil sell through and 10.4mil shipped (and psp already had thousands on store shelves). Japan is on tracked, and i did an analysis on US. They are at least 128k overtracked, so has to be EUROPE and te rest f the world. How much do you think it sold?

By the looks of it maybe 7mil-7.5mil O.o
