I didnt use the current userbase, 5-6mil is if mh came out on vita and by end of year. I THINK vita is about 3.5mil now in japan!

Edit: Oh Damn its around 2.8mil now, i thought it hit 3mil last year.


Vita hardware is at 4m if you factor in digital sales XD

Tbone, I think you should adjust the poll a little bit, you're really under-estimating MH power.
Monster hunter on a dual analog HH, stunning graphics, advanced multiplayer, that would be every japanese gamer's dream right now.

I think it's God Eater 2 that may have passed 1 million in Japan. It sold 630k in its first 6 weeks.

A Monster Hunter would be huge for the Vita and unlike the dominating 3DS it really needs a title of this caliber.

Unfortunately it has no Pokémon, Mario or Animal Crossing and Sony is not in a financial situation where it can afford to invest heavily in huge first party titles other than those coming to PS4.

If it only had that Monster Hunter, Kingdom Hearts, MGS, GTA, Gran Turismo, GoW, Daxter etc. Let's hope that Freedom Wars, Digimon Story, Minecraft and Vita Pets can help it a little.

It would sell at least 3-5 million in Japan. It's a system seller.

In addition GE2, SS, FW, Toukiden prove there is already a large market for that style of content from current owners as well.

Freedom Wars should be huge. That said GE2 has about 630k sales retail now (justed checked) and another 30k-60k Digital to date. (PSP sales are in it as well so Vita hs about 450k currently
