Even 200k seems like a stretch

Nah, 200k should be fine. Will likely end between 200 and 300k IMO.

 

Regardless; that doesn't answer the question. Why did you express surprise at 1mil preorders, or is this some joke I've missed even?

Am I missing a running joke here or something?  It wont get anywhere near that.  Software isn't "saving" the WiiU now.  People dont still believe that do they?

For the option with the most votes to come true, the Wii U would have to sell over 700k consoles from the release of MK to the end of June (if sales up to the release of MK stay stable) thus doing about 7 times as much as it did last year during that time.

Interesting. Hopefully Nintendo is about to make some more advertisement. A lot of people still don't know about Mario Kart 8.
