Forums - Nintendo - Need Foreign Price Checks for Wii U VC Games (CAD, Ruble, Peso, Franc, etc.)

If Nintendo decided to remake its classics using a 16-bit style graphics (like Super Mario All Stars) with an HD treatment, I would gladly pay even 30 bucks for each game. The games would have to be tied to an actual account system.

Wait, what? First of: there is not Wii U eshop in brazil, therefore, there is no price of the games either. Those prices are either from 3DS eshop or this guy are taking number out of a hat. Its very odd too that a game that cost 5 US dollars are being sold by 2,5 us dollars here in brazil.

Odd.....

Is there not even an option for the eShop?

Yes: change the country of the console and making a canadian account.

Maybe i should provide some ligth on the situation: since last september, banks here aproved a new regulamentation that considered irregular any virtal shop that presented price in R$, but where actually making a US$ sale with the dollar directly ajusted to that date. This was because that counted as a international shoppping, and so a tax was applied in the Credit Card account, without the consumer being aware. This affected various virtual shops, like google marketplace, PSN and 3DS eshop(the wiiu still wasn't officially  avaiable around here till november- yes, thats not a  typo, the wiiu was actually launched here a year later tah the rest of the world). Google resolved the problem in 2~3 days. PSN took 2~3 weeks. Nintendo still doesnt resolved theirs. We ask all the time, and they aways give the same anwser: at any time, eshop can be made avaiable, but we dont have a date for it.

So good to be treated like that...

"Hardware design isn’t about making the most powerful thing you can.
Today most hardware design is left to other companies, but when you make hardware without taking into account the needs of the eventual software developers, you end up with bloated hardware full of pointless excess. From the outset one must consider design from both a hardware and software perspective."

Prices in Sweden

NES: 50 SEK ($7)
SNES: 80 SEK ($11.50)
GBA: 70 SEK ($10)

This is about $1 more than US price before VAT (25%) except for GBA-games that are the same.

What about legacy prices for the NES and SNES?

I think there is no Argentinian Nintendo eShop. But I know that the 20 dollar eshop card is 300 Pesos and the 50 dollar eshop card is 730 pesos.
