I know total shipments are ahead.  It had a really good launch.  But, looking at just 2014 sales by themselves, they are shipping the same, or a worse, amount as the dying 360 has been the past few years.  It just illustrates how much sales have dropped in other parts of the world, while in the US it still remains ahead of the 360.

Don´t ask me, ask VGChartz...

PS4 and XOne are just doing similar numbers than it predecessors did in the last few years. PS4 might have had a better overall quarter because of Japanease launch.

Not sure why you would post links that prove my point, but okay.  According to those links the One is doing much worse than the 360 from 2012, the year it managed 10M.  And ~22K worse than it did last year, where it only managed 5.8M for the year.  So, I guess you agree with me that the launch for the One was good, but sales have now dropped lower than the dying 360 of the past 2 years.  Glad we're on the same page.

Yoshi's New Island: 134K (vgc=117k)
DK Tropical Freeze: 84k (vgc= 59k)

DKC is still overtracked from last month, so the total should be fine.  It was 130k digital+physical, and VGC has it at 143k.

Yeah, its pretty good :)

Just pointing out wats wat!  No word on FFX yet

Wii did around 260K in March 2007 NPD

So well done Xbos4 for beating that (although it doesn't mean that much as Wii was supply contrained to the max)

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

The numbers on this site are shit, and I particularly hate it when people quote them.

Oh, look, it's exactly the person I wanted to see in this thread. This month's X1 numbers is probably a retroactive correction for them having X1 too high last month.

yeah sure, I'll take your word for it, LMAO. tsk tsk

My page is:

PS3 has outsold the 360 significantly in the first quarters of the last few years.

If you put the PS3/360 ratio you will see that it´s very similar to the PS4/XOne ratio.

That is not even a complet comparison, as PS4 has de advantage of Japan (not that it would matter) and the rest of the world (would bump XOne sales by 10-20%), but let´s go.

Again we have the point of price, the thing that I´m point since last E3 and the only truely XOne trammels. It won´t have a chance to outsell the PS4 as long it is more expensive PERIODE!

The timely drops and bundles can only help for people realy looking for a deal and for the bundled game.

Friends of mine that play only FIFA won´t give a F* for "the game of the generation", the same way one of them bought tLoU and didn´t finished the first hour before reseling it.

Those links that Dark_Feanor got me curious, so I actually looked up last year's 360 numbers compared to One's numbers. Things are much worse for the One than I thought. From January to April 6th of 2013, the 360 sold ~1.8M. From January to April 5th of this year, the One sold ~1.1M. That's ~700K in the 360's favor and it only went on to sell ~5.8M for the whole year. MS better do something and they better do it fast. Especially considering it looks like Sony is going to sell at least 10-12M PS4's this year.

As I said on my stealthly edit post: "We people here have a tendency to mix WW sales with NPDs".

To be clear and for the sake of my argument, the 1/3 part is sole from USA.

My point is, Neogaf has a 90+ page thread of people glooming doom for a 60k lead and a overall lead of 400k(?) as if Microsoft had no way in hell to overcome this and the situation for the next, let say, 8 years os setled in stone.

Sory if I think this prediction is laughable.

The situation is exactly as one would expected when you put two similar products which one is cheaper than the other. I was tired to face threads here where I said: "The Xone will sell 20% to 25% less than the PS4 as long the price is 25% more, any thing more than that is a victory for such a hated console".

The people I faced, many of which are constantly banned by now, were the one saying "no one want to buy a XOne" or PS4 will outsell the XOne 3 to 1 or 5 to 1... those guys are still on NeoGaf.

The WW part, well, look at sales figure from the last 2 or 3 years. The PS4 is seling almost at the same pace as the PS3 and the same is true for the XOne/360.

The posts you quoted both talked about the PS3 recovering worldwide, not just in one country.  The "glooming doom" isn't about 60k in a vacuum.  It is about that lead in what is supposed to be one of the XOne's strongest countries in a month with a major release that was bundled and saw price reductions.  An XOne and Titanfall were actually cheaper than a PS4 and Infamous at multiple retailers last month.

Can you point to which guys here or on GAF expected a 5 to 1 ratio in favor of the PS4 in the USA?  Especially post DRM reversal.  I feel like the majority of the time I see that it is people defending XOne sales, and the ratio always seems to go up.

Also the 360 sold a lot more Jan-Mar the previous 3 years than the XOne has this year.  Not sure what you are talking about there.  Seems weird that your original post was lamenting people on GAF spouting BS when almost all the numbers you've been posting are wrong or misleading.

Listen I love NeoGaf but for all that is Holy don't read their "sales analysis"

Their average poster over there has pretty much zero clue about console trends, sales, and projections. The community here is FAR more advanced than them when it comes to sales data.

That being said after looking at Xbox One sales in 2014 I have to agree with thismeintiel in that the One is off to a pretty damned slow start all things considered. I think price is a huge contributor to that personally and I think if they could get the thing down to $399 it would certainly help.

One thing is for sure MS needs an absolute MASSIVE E3 to stay competitive. Like I said earlier either way I think it can have a healthy lifespan, enough so to justify its existence, but if it plans on bringing any real competition to Sony then need to have literally the best E3 MS has ever had.

The rest of world will NOT bump X1 sales significantly. In fact, it will hardly make a dent because the PS4 has already established 1.) a userbase and 2.) a good strong reputation in those countries. MS has put off the "2nd tier" countries for way too long which made those markets free pickings for the PS4. It gets even more hopeless considering that these 2nd tier countries have different tastes in gaming in comparison to the US. Taiwan, for example, is more into the MMO and JRPG genres. Games like Titanfall will not make a difference because they do not fit Taiwan's tastes.

The PS4 is not outselling the X1 solely on price difference. You have forgotten that the PS3 outsold the 360 worldwide despite always being more expensive. A variety of reasons factor into why the X1 isn't selling as well including negative reputation from the DRM fiasco, the mandatory Kinect, and resolution gate.
