I'm not sure about you but I like to see two knowledgeable forum members battle it out on any given topic. As most forums are open and free to opinion, this rarely happens as troll and fanboys can prevent this.
What I want to do is select a topic and two members come forward to debate about a topic. One member supporting one side while the other will support the opposite. The debate will take place on the thread and I will update what been said between the 2 on the main topic post at the start of the thread to make it easier for people to see the debate instead of it running over multiple pages and mixed in with other peoples thread posts. Of course other people can still comment within the thread with reactions to the debate in real time but it will only be the 2 people having the discussion that will get their posts updated in the original 1st post. e.g.
USER 1 : blah blah blah
USER 2 : blah blah blah blah
USER 1 : blah
This will continuously updated until its over. Once considered over, the thread will open a poll for people to vote on who was the winner.
People that put theirselves forward will have their comment history checked to make sure that that they are not a fanboy/troll to ensure a good debate.

First topic is "Which is the best next console? PS4 orX1?". Put yourself forward here, 2 people will be selected and I will the create a new thread for the discussion to take place. Need 1 guy for pro X1 and one for pro PS4.
