Oh boy.

First, none of those are "major pushes" except for The Order 1886. The Last of Us will barely push anything because most PS4 owners that would care probably owned a PS3 and already played the game there, and Watch_Dogs already pushed all the next gen systems it would have last holiday season during the launch period. MLB will push exactly nothing and Destiny will push what every multiplay pushes, which is nothing.

The PS4 will obviously outsell the XBO this year, but let's not be delusional about the reasons why be pretending that the year is riddled with killer apps and hardware pushing games.

I hope you don't actually believe that. I guess you must have forgotten how many 360s were sold because it was the lead platform for Call of Duty.

MLB will not give it a major boost the game doesn't even sells more then EA's NHL series. The NFL, NBA, and College Football are all more popular sports in the US even NASCAR is catching up to major league baseballs popularity. Also the best selling game in the franchise is MLB 2000 which only sold 940K and came out 15 years ago on the PS1.

Not to mention the fact that some other consoles aren't doing so hot because of little to no third party support.

People underestimate the inpact a third party game has lol.

Op is right. But hey, don't worry about convicing people, time will prove you right.

You are really underestamating The Show. Remember it's the only baseball game on a next gen console. It will move consoles.

I guess you haven't looked at sales of the games in the franchise lately.  Even EA's NHL series is more popular.

Of course its not going to sell more than NHL series which is multiplat. Baseball is the second most popular sport in the US behind Football. This year is different. any baseball fan want to play a baseball sim, they have to buy a PS4

Which means that fans of games like this won't buy a console for it?

No its not the NBA and College Football are more popular and College Football is only going to get more popular since divison 1 has a small playoff now.  As for the NBA not only is it more popular in the US its miles more popular all around the world.

THe franchise is niche but it has a loyal fanbase. I could see it moving a decent amount of hardware.

A game that always sells less then a million units isn't a system seller.
